Grime? Spooge i think is the official term according to the Firestromer dictionary.... so go clean the rest of the spooge off your bike then go for a ride (i am.......)

Steam clean 5 mins :bleh:
2hours to wash polish tank and shiny engine parts
Only when it gets really dirty.

It's finished, just have to re-oil the chain
I so can't be bothered going for a ride :(
Note to self, pick up a 'Firestormers dictionary' on bike "lingo".

Try cleaning a MXer. No matter how hard you try to make it look clean, once it drys, it still looks like you've just been riding.:angry2:

I think the neighbours would freak out, I think they can just handle that I ride a loud bike. I don't think going outside and washing the bike in a bikini is a good idea when you are this "tattooed up" in a nice part of the Mount. They might think I'm trying to nick it and rob the house...lol

Try cleaning summat like this....

The fins on that pot are an absolute bitch, which is why they arent clean. One is, but only because it was covered in oil and thats easier to get off than spooge in oxide... :o

Still, toothbrush or paintbrush job, and it'd take ages if I ever bothered.... :disapint:

You fullas with full fairings have got it easy........ :yeah:

You forgot about

Sleeping, reminiscing, sleeping, riding at 90kmh, sleeping, being an arsehole™, sleeping, NotWavingToSprotsBikes™, sleeping, complaining about washing bikes, sleeping, yelling at KidsTheseDays™, sleeping, and saying things like "BackInMyDay™"

Plenty of things to keep those chronologically challenged of us amused.... :cool2:

NC 30, all you have to do is walk down to the beach, and say to a couple of guys that you need some help with your bike. Wearing the forementioned bikini you'll have no lack of people lining up to clean your bike

I used to like cleaning, but then it got to the point where I have little time and I know how much hassle it is to get the damned thing looking good.... The Honda was ok, but the beemer is just too hard....

It looks good though, even the chain is shiney, and the swing arm is beautiful!

ok ... so was that why it didnt last very long?

ok ... so I cheat .. 20 minutes at St Lukes doing the spraying water thing with degreaser, then pre-added detergent, followed by nice wax spray, but then, I guess I like technology. Besides, I'm just plain lazy.

Why do Ducati riders have to use toothbrushes? I cant quite understand that one!

Nah seriously, its the only way to get in all those tight corners and have a good go at the Spooge™. Especially on cast alloy.....

Only required on really really cool bikes though....

I don't really enjoy the actual cleaning of the bike.

What I do enjoy is taking photos of it after while its glowing :cool2:

And I am sure it rides better when its clean :)

I'm very lazy about cleaning my bikes, don't know why coz I always love them more when they are clean. Took me 6,000k and 8 months before the Brutale got it's first clean. At least with the waterblaster cleaning it is more fun !!

In fact today it got it's second clean. I must be getting soft, only 3,000k and one month after the last clean.

What a lazy bunch you all are. I use my bike daily, and usually give it a quick wipe down when I get home, and a more thorough clean if it's been wet.

It's actually because I'm lazy and it's a lot less work than leaving it for too long a time. Besides I'm not convinced that the finish on the GS is that great, and it looks so nice with all that black and charcoal polished.

Must be easier than cleaning that Ducati 600 though.

The Duc's pretty easy unless its rained... muddy water all over the front cylinder :bash: and you have to pull the fairing to get at it (6 bolts)
I clean it coz it takes my mind of other stuff... glad I cant multi-task :apint:
