Could be in for the 2nd for the ride.
On the 3rd I'm going for a test ride with a friend so she can test ride two bikes.
Not sure if she want to go that far and we will be on cruiser's so will be a bit slower.

Its just a cruisy ride -not fast,as a mate has a new bike and still getting used to it so he wont go fast at all.

Will ask the owner of the shop and the girls.
We will have to be back by 3:30 as the shop shuts at 4.

I'd be keen to tag along on that, need to do some more (cruisy) miles on my new front tyre and kaikoura sounds like the run to me. And if not too tired, might even be able to make the 6pm meet at BK moorehouse, if my arse is not complaining too much. :-)

Well if it's a cruisy ride I could be in too!
Never ridden to Kaikoura before so it'll be a bit of a adventure for me.

Yeah I haven't done Kaikoura via the inland road, workmate was telling me it's a great road. Looking forward to it already.

It is not to mad nick either, was along there today:headbang:, ya just got make sure the eyes and brain are awake, a couple of dodgy corners (loose stuff), but if you are on it, there is no way they will trip you up. It is a beuty of a route up in there... have fun people... I gotta be working that day.
The Mt Lyford lodge is not a bad spot to stop for a drink and feed either.

The Peg is the hotel on the left just before you go onto the start of the motorway north.
It's called the Belfast Tavern near the corner of Main North Rd and Dickeys Rd.
The Peg is an old nick name as it was the last stop before leaving ChCH on Stag Coacher's.

Yeah, that would be nice again one day, been a long time since I rode up that way. Maybe next summer, book plenty of time ahead to get the cheap ferry deals, $300.00 return when I looked before xmas is getting up there for a bike and rider.

The memory my last Kaikoura ride lives on:Oops: How are you 200BUSA?
I would be keen but I still have not replaced the bike, and I'm off overseas again for a month or two this weekend. Will definitely be looking for a new steed when I'm back though and hopefuly there will still be some summer left to ride it in.
Have a great ride and watch out for French tourists!

Was an excellent ride but sure to catch you next time, that inland road does have some loose stuff, not to mention pine cones, hub caps and sheep (and thier poo) and you have to take care but past that there is some beauty corners and an awesome piece of the mainland.
The tar was a bit soft too, thought there was something wrong with the bike when it started wobbling at 130kph...nope...just the hot tar.
Thanks 200busa for arranging this, excellent day out, appreciated the company you're a top bunch for sure, look forward to seeing everyone again soon for the next run.

It was a wonderful ride, great company and sunshine galore - what more could a girl want?! (other than a faster bike). Thank you all for letting me tag along, and esp SDU for hanging at the back with me.
I went on to meet up with the Wed cruisy ride to Ashley Gorge; we made a quick stop at the Oxford Tavern then cruised back into town at a gentle pace.
Life is good and I am happy ~

No problem- when you get your new bike you might have to wait for me.:scooter:

A bit of an adventure at times ay! I thought my bike had a flat at one point, & I did the gravel dance on another but all is good.
Most interesting was a car overtaking a 4wd & caravan on a blind corner about to have a head on with a 4wd & boat, Karla & I were trying to find a spot to pass:sweatdrop:eek5:

Ditto that!
