Unsure how many pics I can upload here. Plenty of pics on the TM listing. I'm happy to email more.
I was the 3rd owner since new. The last 10 000kms that I have put on it have been trouble free.
* Bike has had all logbook services, except for the 18 000km service.
The 12 000kms service was not cheap. Valve clearances due at 24 000kms. (Receipts for services happily supplied)
* WOF until 11/01/09.
* Registration valid until 12/07/08.
* Oggy Knobs crash posts fitted.
* Pillion gripper seat cover - stops your pillion sliding forward quite a bit.
* Paint protectors on tank.
* Tyres will need replacing within the next 1000-2000kms. The rear has plenty of tread on the edges but the centre of the tread is quite worn...my Nana riding and too many pillion miles maybe:dodge: These tyres passed the WOF yesterday but they won't pass the next one. It's a good opportunity for the next owner to shod it with rubber of their choosing.
* Paintwork has the usual stonechips that you'd expect. When you treat a bike as I have you get to know every minor chip that happens. I have washed this bike after every long ride - the bugs have not eaten away at paintwork and likewise the rims have not been damaged by brake dust.
The photos show a couple of more noticeable issues:
- rub mark on rear cowling from where a pillion's backpack rubbed during a trip,
- 2 areas of scratched metal from where the bike touched down after being pushed over (clutch cover and silencer/pipe)
- small 5mm x 5mm rub mark on the cylinder head cover from where the fuel tank rubbed on it after the dealer put it back on incorrectly following a service.
I will check whether I can have the rear cowling rub marks tidied up by a local paint and panel shop once they re-open following New Year. If I can get them to put another layer of clear coat over the panel or similar for less than $100 I'll have this done.
Owner's manual (book) also supplied with a CD-ROM copy of the full Workshop Manual (10Mb, 491 pages).
