Installing air horns

ok, I'm a newbie pissed of with people pulling out on me, and only being able to sound like road runner in reply. (meep meep)

I want to install air horns....:laugh:

a few dumb questions:...:doh:

The airhorms I see gfor sale are 12v- what is the little battery on my bike?? 12V or 6V?

Can it/ should it be done?

any advice on hardware or installation?

Have installed a NAUTILUS air horn on the busa, bought it of e-bay,it's reputed to be the world loudest bike horn and is money well spent, trucks are frightened off the road by it.
No prob fitting it and most good horns come with fitting instructions and a relay.The relay is a device that when powered up by pressing the horn button sends power to the horn ,meaning that the horn button is only switching the relay and not sending power to that power hungry horn, thereby protecting that fagile little horn button and the wiring to it.

Coincidentally (or perhaps not) I just installed a set of Fiamm airhorns on the 205GTi. Stupid panelbeater broke the OEM Fiamm airhorn when installing the bumper, so it failed the WOF. :nono:

The install would've gone much easier, if I'd gone with my initial thought: there will already be a relay and fuse installed in the circuit - just hook it up. But because it came with a relay in the pack, I spent farkinages wiring it up, making sure the relay was mounted out of the weather, etc. In the end, I blew the relay up, so I didn't have any choice. :shit:
