Some great racing the last 2 days . Good to see how the locals went against Coppins ,with Hurley and 15yr old Hamish Dobbyn keeping Josh honest in all MX1 races .Burkhart and Coloumb were impressive in the MX2 class

Thanks for the pic, looks like ya had a pretty good day..... I'm stuck at home painting a bedroom, but I do get a reprieve shortly, I'm off to hire a floor sander... :bye:

I'd intended to go to the Summer Cross, but stuff happens...

I am, however going to Woodville and staying on a farm down there for a weeks riding.. :woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

Maybe catch up some KB'ers at Woodville.....?

well heres a couple of pictures,
one of the bike atferwards badly bent bars
and my helmet (notice the crack just above the O'neal sign)
was going over the last jump of the track on the last lap of the first mx2 support race, while passing another bike and landed rather badly
not that i remember, i was knocked out (for about 5 mins)
Same jump thats in the first post, but i landed on the far left of the track.
They reckon i cart wheeled with the bike down the track
im getting a picture sent to me in the next couple of days of me laying down on top of the bike knock Unconscious.
went to hospital and exited about an hour after with only a sore wrist (from the crash) and feeling rather dizzy.
Im very luckly im not hurt badly.
have a dirt bike:innocent: watching me

haw did GTAe get on?

rode in MX2 support and managed to get his hand run over badly in the first race:shutup:
decided it was better to be a spectator, rather then traction for others

I was there two, awesome racing, I could not believe the speed of some of these guys, coppins was super smooth and although Hurley was close behind I think coppins had alot more if needed.

Buddy L I remember the commentator saying about your crash when it happened but I was on the other side of the hill at the time so didn't get to see the carnage but it sounded pretty bad.

Hurley wasn't happy with his bike and wished suzuki had let him ride the 08 injected machine as he reckoned it was alot better .Suzuki don't have spares for them yet so he couldn't use it which sounds kinda lame to me.

BuddyL, Pity your cam footage didn't turn out so good .We saw you with it and when you disappeared nose first over the finish line jump last lap ,thought there maybe some great action footage to be seen. Hope you have recovered ok as it didn't sound too good for you at the time.:doctor:

The helicopter was a sweet way to see it all, pity it was such a short ride.

So I take it it wasn't the "Westpac Rescue" chopper then...

Neat pic tho....

I last rode there in about '91, don't think the track has changed much, but is that a new section at the top? The high speed jumps on the back straight scared crap outa me... :(

Heres a pic taken on sat when the minis were racing in the paddock section .They linked it to the main track for sundays senior races to add a minute to the lap times so there wouldn't be so much lapping which seemed to work pretty good.

for $20 it was worth it as i'd never been in one before.
