View Full Version : Auckland: New Years Eve- what to do???

As I am just here for a short time I have NO CLUE as to what goes on here on NY Eve. Any suggestions as to how I can spend my least favorite night of the year (having your birthday on NY Day sucks!!) are welcome; as long as they are vaguely legal and don't involve goats.

Head downtown somewhere - the Viaduct would be good, as there'll be stuff going on (or going off!) down there. Plus there is 1.5 tonnes of fireworks stacked up on top of the SkyTower to be let off tonight.

I did not metion any prefered gender in this post what so ever. My God why are SOME women so bloody sensitive, I prefer blokes end of story? That does not mean that I do not have really close female friends and ones that ride big bikes too!!
For God sake get over your issues and start being a person and not a sterepotypical gender militant feminist. I do not like cheese or dairy produce so what does that say about me??

Just to set the record straight once and for all. I am not a figment of anyones imagination and I am not looking for a shag (if I wanted one I would trawl bars or put a post saying 'Looking for a shag' or stay in the UK where it is on tap). I am just me, mad as a box of frogs, but simple old me.

I took young Lily out for a spin today. SH22 to Raglan interspersed with interesting conversation about politics, religion, and various other weighty topics. She is certainly not a figment of anyone's imagination ... or if she is, it would appear that Disco and I are sharing the same dreams. That's a scary thought.

Sorry to disappoint, but other than a handshake at the end of the ride and the inevitable contact that happens when one person is pillioning another, there was no 'ride for a ride' trade going on. Personally, if she had acted like that, I wouldn't have found her interesting in the slightest. Needless to say, she wasn't. Perhaps there's another reason you and a few other women here are getting a little het up about it?
Incidentally, she's also a really good pillion rider. If it wasn't that the bike felt a little heavy in corners, I could have almost forgotten she was there.
Anyone still not convinced she's real? Perhaps the attached will help then.
