Anyone else used a TuneBoy on their Triumph instead of a Power Commander?
This tool is packed with features allowing you to download and modify tunes, diagnose faults, check and clear DTC’s, adjust idle, Speedo, rev limit and much more!
Many tunes are available from forum sources and the TuneBoy website. So far I’ve tried about 7-8 different tunes that all worked well, but most were top-end orientated. That’s great if you want to rev the tits off your bike all the time, but that’s not me. I finally settled for a tune that increased throttle response, keeps the Speed Triple’s awesome midrange with the added bonus of more top-end.
Diagnostics is something I’ve only played with, but came in handy after I loaded my first aftermarket tune. Silly me loaded an SAI (secondary air injection) tune which promptly recorded an “unknown” error code. Loading a non-SAI tune sorted this and then I was able to delete the error code in diagnostics. All good!!! Other features in diagnostics allow you to test things like your cooling fan, fuel pump etc.
The software is updated periodically and free to download for anyone wanting to check it out. You just can’t fiddle without the ECU key and cable!

Seriously worth a look if you own a Triumph! :done:
