Check for loose fasteners before going for a ride. Shit always happens at the worst possible time..

i think everyone has had some fairing fall off while riding. I know I have.
Thats why I always carry a pack of large zipties now.

Never in 27 years have I had anything fall off (a bike). Always check your bike over regularly and especially after a 'professional' has serviced it.
Make sure you load it carefully travelling this summer as well.

Thats the best advise ....you should notice things in the general washing cleaning of the bike

Just lack of maintenance. Both fasteners came loose some how..
Air pressure was a factor.. minute i felt the knocking through the bike, hit the kill switch, came to a stop, got off the bike expecting the worse.. When i saw the front fender i thought to myself, fucking sweet.

100% agree, the only bike I ever had things fall off was the only bike I ever managed to buy brand new.....Shocking....never trust "professionals" indeed.
Dirtbikes are very usefull in the learning curve.... spending a lot of time tinkering and tightening...( and use locktight on the bits that keep losening to often)

Have you asked Sparkz if his outfit make one for your bike? I think he quoted me something like $190 nz for my FZ1.

I fall off my bike often,
in the words of the late great loosebruce....
"I hardly stay on a bike long enough to call it riding"

Most of the cost was in UPS shipping, worldwide saver 2/3 day.
$190 sounds good, and within my price range. I expect to pay twice that for OE plastics.

I had a footpeg break off my first bike, in 1974ish.
And I've fallen off a couple of times.
