A few weeks ago I bought a Transalp and have done 3000kms on it. It suits the type of riding I want to do perfectly except for the seat which is bloody uncomfortable. I need to get off after about half an hour because my arse is sore. I am considering having the seat reshaped and recovered. Is there a better option?

Do you want to try a sheepskin on it? I have a sheepskin you could borrow to try it out for a few weeks/months.
I haven't attached any ties to tie it to a seat, so you'd need to bungee it.
Oh, and it's orange.
Worth a try maybe.
I'm up Opoho if you'd like to come round and get it.

I had my TransAlp seat remodeled by "Trimit" MacDonald's in Tauranga and it transformed the bike!

I could ride all day, day after day, no sweat.

The original seat was like you had an alligator on your arse, not nice! Cheers John.
