But new to this site.
Been biking since Adam fell off his horse, hmmm that makes me around 40ish.
Ridden mainly old school British bikes all this time, don't know why, sucker for punishment i guess, but when they run sweet there is no looking back and all the troubles (mainly lecktics, go to the back of the mind).
I kick around with mates the Grover Chasers Touring Bunch so get to a few rallies when work and the broken arse body allows. Also a member of Triumph Owners N.Z.
Frequent classicbike.net worth a visit if you have an old banger (Brit, Euro).

Man there is some interesting stuff and people here, i'll save the reading for the wet unmotivated days, meantime ride on.

Welcome mate, dont own one but grew up with a father that on regular occasions had 650SS Nortons and the odd Trident spread all over the lounge, consider myself lucky to have watched him put them back together (better than the factory built them in some cases).:clap:As i say welcome and enjoy.

Oil in frame but at least that's where the oil stays. Have you tried stopping one of these disc t140's in the wet, not for softies.

That was a earlier than 40+ years ago Mouse. But that's the event that triggered the search for a more reliable form of transport.

Your post begs for a certain type of reply, but I've strongly resisted the temptation. Wonder why it hasn't made my day?

You are not old for kb. Regards the triumpet - I couldn't afford an old triumpet when they were new and now doubt I could kick start one now I am older. So I bought a new Triumpet - not the same but near enough.
Cheers

Unfortunately i have a friends wedding to attend that day, wonder if they can postpone it.

Last time i did the Vincent it was roasting hot. Spent most of the day sitting in the river drinking beer. My group went to Alex for some ice to keep the beers cool, that got some looks from the locals, bungying bags of party ice to the side of the bikes, before a dash back to the rally before it melted.
