Hi all
Thanx for the advise that has very kindly been given last time I wrote.
So next bit please.
Bike arrived in Auckland today, I will pick it up on the 16th of this month.
However I will need insurance, does anyone know of a good insurance company that is biker friendly.
Cheers
Jon

Hi Mate, get a quote from Classic Cover too. Good rates & I've had no hassles getting my bike fixed up after the 'sheep incident' a few months back.
Cheers

Try http://www.ebikeinsurance.co.nz/ good rates, sister company of the UK ebike. I havent had to claim of them either here or when they insured me in the UK, so cant commnet on that part of thier service. But as web based it is easy to administer your policy for address change etc, and add additional bikes.

You really never heard of the phrase "to laugh like a drain" ?
Now where it comes from is anyone’s guess, bit like the rest of the English language I suppose.
Basically it is to laugh uproariously or perhaps belly laugh, any other descriptions gladly accepted.
What would the kiwi phrase be I wonder.
Oh yes re the insurance, they cannot give me insurance till I have an address, or did I know someone in Tauranga that I could use as an address till we sort out a house.
Well as we are going somewhere where we don’t know anybody I have tried to explain that this is rather problematic.
All of a sudden Tauranga is feeling very lonely and far away.
Still hay ho, at least we are not spending 6 months in a square rigger dieing of dysentery or shipwreck to get there.
Now those guys had it hard, still the thought of 2 days of airline food is not making me feel much better.
Anyway will keep you up to date on the rest of this exciting insurance story as it progresses.
Cheers all.
Jon
