Curently gathering ancedotes from bike rallies with a view to piecing together an interesting book some day. You knoe the stuff that happens at rallies, stays at rallies, well the kids may like to read about it someday ;-)

Things like the classic "got into the wrong tent", or " forgot to put foot out and fell off" or worse.

Total anonymity with names and places , so if you've got anything funny, stupid or just plain dumb that comes to mind, from event to, at and from N.Z bike rallies, send it in. TIA.

I'm sure someone who went to the magpie could chime in about the story about the guy who got his tent shredded up by angry punters.

I have no interesting stories, all the usual drunken stuff pretty much.

Many a year ago at the March Hare (on the orginal site...) I woke up in the wrong tent... she didn't kick me out either... though she did nudge me in guts to tell me to "shut up" I was snoring to loudly in my drunken state... even cooked me some breaky in da morning... must admitt it was a similar looking tent... errr well i think

To this day I have no idea who she was...

And then there was the time I... oh wait... ummmm Hi honey are you reading this ummm

At the Little River Rally this year there were a couple of idoits going... oppps never mind... :baby:

I remember one time at the Cold Kiwi middle of the night I could here this "Rattle... Rattle... Rattle.." and woundering what the fuck is that noise... "Rattle... Rattle... Rattle..." Found out the next morning it was the guy in the text next to mine he was so cold his false teeth were rattling everytime he shivered...

:nono: Never mind indeed! Anyway what do you mean "a couple"? You were there too, that makes three - I have video proof.

Then there was the time at six cross CK site when a Laverda Jota's side stand sunk in the ground, and the bikes handle bar pierced a corner of a tent.
A few of us commented "lucky nobody was inside there", when a muffled reply came back, "there f**king well is"!

Standing around havin a few at the Hororata rally a few moons back about 2.30 in the morning the chick that won the titty comp came up to a group of us and said "can anyone let me sleep in there tent tonight":niceone:we all thought as she went on to explain why...blah blah blah anyways after a few more rums she accompanies me back to my tent......:oi-grr:well what i thought was my tent but turned out to be my mates tent who was roughly..i think..in the middle of a pretty memorable shag with his missus, his missus starts ranting as she was pretty much all revealed and next thing the titty comp winner is giving me a slapping screaming "what kind of a sick fuck are ya" etc, accusing me of trying to get her to have a 3some:laugh:.Anyways nobody got anything.:oi-grr:

One of the good things about rallys,is the chance to re-tell stories of previous rallys. Before the ingestion of various substances, make this difficult. GO to a Rally and LISTEN.

Oh I just remembered... what goes on tour stays on tour... what happens at a rally stays at a rally

Then there was the time when I could hear a bunch of guys standing around the tent at the March Hare discussing the finer points of my iron-head Sporty..

And CB did a grouse job of fake orgasm noises..... the place went quiet for about 50 yards around for about ten seconds.. then a lone voice said "shit, I wouldn't mind a bit of what HE's getting"

Effin near pissed myself!!

And the time a guy wandered up to the tent where I was drinking at the old 12-Mile Delta site of the Remarkables rally with 'something' in a 2-litre lemonade bottle (and it had crazed the plastic from the inside) which he had 'found'.
We drank it - and 12 hours later I awoke beside a tent about 100 yards away with no memory, a mouth like the bottom of a vulure nest and a head pounding like WRX.... what was in the bottle was anybodies guess...

"One of the good things about rallys,is the chance to re-tell stories of previous rallys."
Exactly, been to heaps, talked plenty of crap over a beer and have quite a few yarns from own experiences, trouble is as your very next sentence states ....
"Before the ingestion of various substances, make this difficult."
Most sunday mornings after a night at a bike rally i'm like most, brain dead with only tasks present on the mind is ... coffee, dump, ride home.
Most iv'e talked to think a yarn book is a great idea, you don't have to buy it, if and when published, leave it on the shelf between Playboy and Classic Bike.

Never be stupid enough to leave your helmet beside your bike then piss people off by starting your bike up at 3am in the morning. Then staggering off to your tent leaving your helmet behind.

All rally goers would buy a copy, so copies would'nt fall into the wrong hands (the hands of she/he who stayed at home)
