The riders for next years championship are slowly sorting themselves out, and should be good racing with a lot more support from the Japanese factories, so hopefully no more Ducati-feast.
Ten Kate Honda,- Chris Vermuelen, Karl Muggeridge
Suzuki Alstare,- Troy corser, Yukio Kagayama
PSG-1 Kawasaki,- Chris Walker, Gianluca Nanelli??
Yamaha Motor Italia,- Noriyuki Haga, Andrew Pitt
Ducati,- James Toseland, Regis Laconi
Foggy Petronas Racing,- Gary McCoy??, Steve Martin??
It's rumoured that Frankie Chili will be on a Honda, and that Ben Bostrom may be on a Honda
Should make for some pretty good racing. :2thumbsup

Frankie may be old, but hes still good - intedresting to see him on a Honda.
Why dont they just take the FP1 out to 1000cc so it can compete with the big boys?

Yup - the R1 has been cleaning up in Domestic European champs, so it'll be really interesting next year. Troy Corser on the Suzuki will be interesting too.

A bit off the topic- but on the topic of R1s, Tony Rees had his new R1 at its first race meet at Taupo last weekend. What an AWESOME looking race bike. He's got a full Over racing system (loads of really expensive looking Titanium) and loads of other goodies on it. One of the nicest looking and smartest prepared superbikes in NZ I reckon. Yum. #40 - have a gawk at it if you get the chance. He had no problems winning either.
If anyone noticed Yamaha France managed to get an R1 on the front row at the last SBK race (Magny Cours) this year so I think Haga on the R1 will be a real threat. Goodie. SBK next year is looking good!

hey. i agree tonys bike does look awesome. although it does have a few goodies on it there is still a bit of standard stuff on it too. like the pegs and gear shift pattern etc. also tony was having a great deal of problems with supension (got a good ol tank slapper by the pit exit) and changing springs and settings didnt seem to help. overall he was pleased with his performance after almost 2 years lay off.

Looks awesome. Go the Alstare boys, not that I'm biased now. (AMA, BSB - Matt Mladin, John Reynolds).

I be going for the alstare boys as well, but haga is one of my fav riders, put his r7 up insde of dukes thru corners, in a series which rules are aimed at the dukes to win

Yes, it'll be really good to see Tony back out on the track. It's going to be a great racing season here in NZ. We've got our tickets booked to go to Ruapuna first w/end in December. (Teretonga's the next weekend but it's a logisitical/financial nightmare to get to so giving it a miss).
And I agree that SBK will be very good next year too..
