Hi People!
I'm new to New Zealand, from the UK! Loving riding in the sun, but my 9 year old daughter needs new leathers, so we can enjoy riding in the sun as a family! Anybody know a bike store near the Red Beach area that sells kids leathers? Also Hubby needs some "Gunk" for his bike chain!
Keep biking!

Check out www.quasimoto.co.nz. Bret and Paula should be able to help you out even if there is nothing specific on their website so give them a call.

consider motox gloves too. Small hands, good fit and leather palms (sadly they're not full leather...)

Welcome to the nuthouse of KB & NZ.
Not really a huge selection of kids stuff about but some of the ladies gear is really tiny & there are leather places around (Quasi) that make to order. Good luck.

Hiya, We (QUASiMOTO) can do full one piece and two piece childrens sets, no problems, you can custom color measure etc, we will make them to order, we dont stock them as the market is tiny.

What sort of prices do you charge? Just an approximation would be fine... I can see 2 sets being required for my lads in the not too distant future.

Hi Mate, this sounds dum but because they are childrens leathers you would think they are heaps cheaper, less leather etc......... unfortuntely they arent much cheaper than an adults set the only saving is less leather, labour etc etc is still the same.
It depends alot on the size of the kids also, if you can pm me with more information I can get a better idea of what a price would be for you to work from.
hear from you soon
Cheers

There is also a woman called Keri/Kerry based on Karangahape Rd in Auckland City who custom makes. Can't for the life of me remember the name of her business or her contact number. Motomail should be able to give it to you though. She is downstairs in an arcade (below Hallelujah cafe) just east of the Pitt St/K Rd intersection. She modified my leathers and a good friend has had a pair of pants custom made, and comes well recommended. Hubby will probably go see her for some new stuff, as he is a tall, skinny bugger and doesn't fit into off the shelf stuff!

Hiya welcome to KB.
You can get children's leathers from Lifestyle imports. Their website: www.lifestyle-imports.co.nz. They are based in south auckland. Their prices are very cheep for kids stuff (as i'm looking at a 1 piece suit for myself being on the small side) which is an advantage when kids grow out of them so quick. They will customise the colour scheme for you, with or without hump etc. Not sure what the quality is like though as I haven't heard of anyone I know crash testing them.
Quasimoto does a selection of stuff in smaller sizes. You will pay more for his gear but I and many friends have personally crash tested his stuff and it holds up to the job!

Thats cause it aint cheap low cost, low quality like lifestyles and its branded with my name on it............you get what you pay for and all that

I can personally vouch for Quasi's gear. Only damage I suffered was to my hand (which wasn't in Quasi gear, go figure).
Top notch-gear at a pretty reasonable price, can't really ask for more than that.
