Sung to a certain Chicago/Air Supply? song

V1
I went down, my jeans were wearing thin
When I lost(traction), where did it begin???
My heart, almost seemed to drift away with "the one"
looking for the gravel, that was never in my way

V2
Then you(the driver who stopped) smiled, and I reached out to you
I could tell, you were coming to help
One look, then it all began to sink in for me
The moment that we touched, I knew that there would be

Chorus
One less happy biker in the world, and it wouldn't be fine
Out of all the bikers in the world, I just can't believe my "line"
In my life when everything was wrong, something typically went worse
Now there's STILL one bikeless biker, in the world.... tonight :weep:

V3
Just to think, what I have missed
Looking back, how did I exist
I've dreamed, still I never thought I wait this long
I need miracles to come true, to go to taupo this weekend

Chorus

V4
Tonight I hope that mechanic will do
All the things I know he will :)
Please let my bike come to me somehow
I really need it here and now, there's

Chorus

hahahahahahaha, I have gone mad, officially! 1 month, 8 days

Look on the bright side Dave -

at least you know your bike will look brand new at the end of it all, and you didn't have to put up with (like me) a bent bike in the gargre, no money to fix it, scrounging around and surfing websites, making phone calls from work cause you can't afford the toll calls overseas, waiting weeks and weeks for parts to arrive only to find out Customs wants you to pay GST on them, and then the hassle, once you finally get the bits, of having to put them all together so you could ride around on a scratched bike. :pinch:

It was worth it though...

Good luck on getting the one back on the road...

Oh mate - not good at all! You're sounding serious. My bike's been out of action for 5 days and that's way, way long enough. Over a month though! Ask them at the shop how it's going and say you need it by Saturday. But as Cathy says, you could threaten them with images of the three 'Caped KBer Chics' appearing in the doorway of the shop in a cloud of brake dust, and striding purposefully towards the counter as attendants run and hide behind the accessories stands and the water cooler in the smoko room. That'd hurry 'em up.
Never hurts to hassle them a bit though. If worst comes to worse you could always take the "Support Vehicle" up though. That way you can transport all my free tyres back to Wgtn too!

So, girls- shall we do the 'Caped Crusader' thing..?
It's an outrage.
Poor Stony; we'll have to get him one of those 'special' armoured jackets that does up the back, soon, if they don't sort it out...

No. I think they could actually have alarming fantasies about stuff like that and they may hope you will come back are REALLY hurt them next time (possibly involving really spikey shoes and leather chaps - the pants btw - not freddie mercury) thus keeping the bike longer.

I mean you would have to like pain to work on the counter at a bike shop eh?

I recently got the opportunity, through a great deal/low price, to race a motoGP spec bike around phillip island. It took me a while to get the hang of it, I'm not used to riding over 300km/h! But, in the end, I enjoyed myself, and look forward to going back when I can. I only stopped because I had to return it, the XBox game that is :stupid:

I was able to get a new xbox at a dirt cheap price, so I couldn't pass it up. Hired MotoGP2, it's a rather good game. You really need to put the sim level up to 100%, or it's quite ludicrous what you can do, and NOT bin. Even on 100% reality, there are still lots of obvious flaws.

And RainbowSix 3 is good fun too, especially the headset + voice commands. Quite amazing. I really need to get my bike back, before I upgrade my computer, put neon tubes in it, get broadband, buy quake 3 or Unreal Tournement and join a "clan" and play online ALL weekend.

What's the news? You've only got tomorrow to get it to make it on Sun (on the bike anyway). Do they reckon it'll be done?
