Yeah the GSF didn't really seem keen on going over 155 either, but I wasn't keen on trying for more as it was just a quick stretch of straight. But boy she climbs up there fast enough.

My brother pulled 170kph on my '89? VT250F @13000rpm (redlines @13500).

Sounded like a 2 stroke at those speeds.
It had done 80000km without the engine being touched.
The cam chains were getting a bit loose though.

Have seen 150km/h in 4th easy so far on my ZR250, that was on an off-ramp, havent tried it with a bit of room, but id expect another 20km/h at least. I do weigh about 90kg's though, so im sure it'd go quicker with someone a bit smaller :)

My wife has one and it's been round the south island (pretty much the same colours too). I think that it's been pushed up to 160, but then again I'm not sure if that was up or down hill. BTW If you need a new radiator let me know I've adapted an old RZ one because I was put off from the honda $800 plus price tag (new).

I managed to get my old 87 vt250f up to 160 indicated on the speedo once (on a closed road of course). Pretty sure it still had a few hundred revs to go so 165 is probably right.

Correct me if i'm wrong but doesnt the spada only have a 5 speed box? The vt250f had a 6 speed so possibly a fraction more top end.

I still miss mine.
Twin pipes, 13000 redline, hydraulic clutch, twin disk front (not that inboard crap), 300km per tank, the sweetest 6-speed box you've ever used...

See it up town occasionally with an L plate on the back.
Wonder if he's found it makes car alarms chirp yet
I had to carve bits out of the fairing for my knees.

Mine was a "1985 VT250F2F Integra"
