Somebody posted a link on KB to an EBay dealer that sells AGV including TiTech, in all colours and sizes, some at a fraction of the local price.
I had bookmarked the page but recently came over all tidy and did a Format C:\

Unfortunately I tried everything (including Shoei) before finding the AGV, it was the only helmet that was light and fitted. I had a Shoei but inside two months my head had shrunk and it no longer fitted proper. Tried changing to thickest padding available too.
I think I'm leaking brains <_<

Type AGV in Trademe, the guy's name will pop up pretty quick. i think it was niaoniao or something.
FYI, when I was in melbourne for the GP, the solids were going for $500. 450 in one shop I went to. I don't know why they're so exp here.

Yeah retail here is $1299, I got my last one ex-Aus for significantly less. A certain distributor is certainly making a mint on them eh?

Yeah, I have that problem, but my head doesn't shrink to accommodate the leakage, so my brain rattles against the cage. :pinch:

sure are, though, most dealers here in Aucks are getting rid of their AGV stock, so its down a couple hundy or so. Anywho, my sympathies with you on having a non commercially viable head, cause I don't fit any properly either. I I think Ti Tech, Suomy Spec 1R and OGK F3 were the closest. Pity I got an F4!!
Lettuce know if you find a aussie dealer that sends em over for good price.

This is obviously a very serious problem then. Two of us can't be deluded.

You've got a similar size head to what I do (I think mine's 53cm ish). Definitely check out Flyin Brian's store because I got my Suomy (race replica) from there within five days and only paid $500 for it. They're double that in the bike shops.
Just FYI, Shoei's sizes definitely go down to XXS. I'm sure I've seen a helmet XXXS but can't remember the brand. (Edit: ARAI!) If you can't find the AVG you're after, the Shoei might fit (my previous helmet was a Shoei).

Thanks. I've tried a few XS Shoei's. On one the aperture was too far up my face (same with Arai's). Another a shop offered to 'mould with a spoon to make it fit'... :oi-grr:

Yep Ti-Tech. I think the number was 900 for some reason. Don't quote me on that. Do try the suomy if your head's closer to arai and agv than shoei and shark.

I've been riding in a ti tech size S for a couple years now and it is the best helmet I've ever owned. Light, quiet, never fogs.
BUT my sunnies are impossible to wear with it; I think because it fits so well. You may wish to get a tinted visor at the same time. The titech visor is very easy to change and it is something you may want to consider...at the very least try the helmet with your sunnies on. See if there are pressure points at all.
I got my helmet from the USA, a place called extreme supply. Cost at the time was hundreds less than NZ list price. Good luck!

Thanks. I've sourced one, awaiting delivery. Already have a tinted visor from a previous Ti-Tech, as I've never found wearing sunglasses under any of my helmets comfortable.
Thanks for all the suggestions. Much appreciated.

It's good that you've got one on the way...If I'd seen this thread a few days earlier I would have posted this link (http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/showthread.php?t=42814&highlight=agv).
I hope you enjoy your new lid.

No, it hasn't arrived. The guy emailed to say it didn't arrive on Saturday. And yesterday was a public holiday in Wellington so I'm waiting to hear from him today.
A jacket I ordered on Friday (packaged and sent on Saturday), was at work before me when I arrived this morning so I don't know what pigeon delivery service he's using...
Might be checking out Extreme Supply shortly.

Picked it up last night. Yay for dodgy deals in supermarket fuel stop car parks.
And wow, it fits better than the previous two Ti-Tech's.
It has a cool sword on it
And, as an added bonus I got to sleep with Rossi last night. He was useless. Probably because he was just a picture on my t-shirt :o

Hi have been following this thread as I am looking at a new lid too. So did you buy yours form USA too or NZ? If over seas were and how much did ya pay? I went to the link above to the old KB thread, but that store as closed I guess cause thats a year ago.?
Been to the link on this thread, that looks good, but how do you know which one to get so many to pick from. Are they the same size as ones in NZ stores??
Oh may god so many questions:laugh::laugh:

I got Ti-Tech numbers one and three in NZ. More expensive but with the first one, I didn't know any better, and by number three I'd stopped caring. I wanted this particular helmet as I know it fits. I could have waited for one from overseas but I needed the new lid this week.
Second Ti-Tech I got from Melbourne for significantly less than NZ prices (NZ$850). But it was bought back for me by someone flying there and back for three days of dirty debauchery. Size was the same.
Yesterday I checked out the online store Okey Dokey mentioned. OD noted that their experience with ES was good and delivery was prompt, i.e. 7-10 days.
If I hadn't been able to get one in NZ within the required timeframe, I would have purchased online.
I wasn't fussed on colour/pattern. If I was I wouldn't have got one with 46 emblazoned in bright green on both sides.
