Pommie rider looking for rideouts

i have been in new zealand for about 18mths but only recently got my tl. dont really know anyone whos into bikes over here. just wondering if there is any big bike meets over here, or if all you kiwi bikers will accept a pome rider on rideouts. i just want to get out and enjoy riding on some of the best roads i have ridden.
