Any one got one/a few on their bike? Im contemplating putting them on the ZXR, as a bit of a piss take at the boy racers... also for the aesthetic enhancement of the beast.
also any ideas on them at all? Do you think they are gay or wateva?

well, they look gay on cars, so won't they look gay on bikes as well?

Have to echo Firestormer, this thread has been done b4 recently, and i dunno if Dangerous can handle too many more neon hassles - he burst into tears the other night and we haven't heard from him since... :bleh:

oh well, im not going to go overboard like some cars are...
possibly one in the rear under the seat to illuminate the hugger etc, otherwise i was looking at the possibility of putting some inside the fairings to light up the engine. Im planning on putting mesh on the front of the fairing to cover the gap that exposes the header pipes so i thought that mite look kinda kool.

Wouldnt ya just be better of buying an integra? cos this is sounding like something the muppet at work would do :Pokey: and when i get near a PC tonite I'll tell you the story of the AC ducting and his idea of ram air that he had at smoko yesterday morning.....

Neons suck. LEDs can look cool if done well.

plus some LEDs would be cheaper and easier to mount to provide similar effect

my mate has blue LED strips on his car, looks pretty mean. A guy at school has an integra (VT250) and has one 10cm blue neon under his fairing... looks pretty gay.
I've thought about led's for this job but i dont think they'd work unless they were in a cluster pointing in all directions, however a short strip might do a good job above the hugger. As for the idea of inside the front fairings, i think a neon tube will be the way to go so that i get full 360degree lighting as LED's only offer about 45-90degrees from what i've seen.

Hmm, I saw a GSX250 on bikepics that had bright blue LEDs, looked pretty nice.
I think that if you apply them correctly, and throw in a bag of tricks, they can look pretty nice

Aaahh, dont swear. Integra, thats a bad word!!
I reckon honda went wrong when they started making cars! Should have stayed with bikes.
I hate Honda cars :ar15: :ar15: Especially with "Vtec, neon, pod filter" and heaps of other shit said when you say, "Oh yea, whats with your car"
Nothing wrong with Nissan or toyota, but then again, why own a cage when you are better off on a bike :2thumbsup

The muppet at work has a primera.... what a POS!... I think anything with 4 wheels, a tailpipe over 2 inches and a wing is crap!
(note "tailpipe" not zorst)

Haha, yep, doesnt matter how gay( I mean nice) you try and make your car look, its still a big, ugly lump of metal on too many wheels!
All I can do is laugh at these guys with their "done up cages"

But I know that I would not have em on my bike :Pokey: if they where meant to be there then I would have brought the bike with em. But each to their own, would be interested in seeing what it looks like :soon:

There was a bike (I can't even remember the model) that used to park on the footpath outside the Empire Tavern in town some nights that had a few little LED spotlights on it - one down each side of the front forks I believe and one or two by the back wheel.
Not sure exactly what they're called, but I'm pretty sure Jaycar and Dick Smith stock them -- little LEDs with lenses that turn them into quite powerful mini spotlights.

On my way home at 10.20pm the '92 CBR400R which pulled up next to me at the light had blue light glowing from inside all the fairings.
I didn't think it looked very good on the stardard Honda, money that could have been well spent towards an aftermarket can or even towards a new paint job or polished rims if he is only interested in aesthetics.
