ok...whats the Laws Hill ride like? Just bought another quad so I'm rusty and ummmm "slightly older" now..ok for an average rider? Great if its a worthwhile ride, I only live 10 mins away...

Come along and have a go! Once we've finalised the new date of course. If you look at the hills behind Potts Road, and see the Telecom Tower, that's about where it goes.
We are hoping for a February date at this stage.

Last year there were kids on the main track who were on there own and they only really had problems on 2 hills but it was pissing down with rain so i would say perfect for an average rider. just don't worry about the other riders around you and take your time and ride within your limits and you will be fine.

Good advice XR. Parents should always be riding with their kids in front, but often they ride behind and are blissfully unaware of the strife their kids get into.
Keep on eye on Silver Bullet as this is the first place we will post the new date. Or send an email to hmcc@kol.co.nz and I will email you when the new date is confirmed.

The parents are nearly always in front and they don't help there kids out like they should. Another thing that annoys me is the guys that go hard past the little kids and cover them in shit as they fly past at high speeds, they should really think before opening the throttle as these events are for the whole family. That is something you guys should adress at riders briefing.

Agree totally. We generally do mention both these things at rider briefing, but once out on the track the adrenalin kicks in and often common courtesy goes out the window. Unfortunately there is only so much we can do as we can't be everywhere to police every rider but believe me our marshalls do try to "educate" riders when they see this happening if the opportunity arises.
Do you usually come to the ride? We are always looking for people to help with set up/marshalling, if you are interested.

Aahh one of our regulars! Do you come to the Otairi View Ride in Hunterville? We reckon it's well worth the trip up.
Please email me hmcc@kol.co.nz and I will let you know about new date etc and let you know re setup/marshalling
