I was intrested in seeing how many of you guys living on the North Shore still attend College, 5th, 6th or 7th form and what bike and college you go to?
Most, actually all of my friends are more interested in their cars or aquiring one over bikes, so was just curious to see how many fellow biker college students are around my area.
I ride my FXR to Rangi, only other bikes I see is this one dirt type bike and several scooters.

I'm a 7th former at Glenfield College until I sign out on the 2nd of December, I ride my FZR to school everyday unless it's raining in the morning. I'll ride home in the rain but I won't start the day wet. I get shit at school for riding a motorbike sometimes, but since the automotive teacher owns an r80 I've got free access to the school garage and tools.

One of the rich kids used to come to school on a Vespa, lucky prick,we were envious. We used to roll up in a MKI Zephyr, but we weren't allowd cars at school,so had to park down a side street and hope a teacher didn't see us.Of course we got caught when we couldn't stop our teenage hormones and drove past the buses so the girls could see us.The owner and driver of the car was expelled.Aren't yous guys just lucky eh?

Mr Kahn eh, we have a science teacher with that name at Rangi, maybe its the same guy? He rides this wine red BMW.
Bikes don't seem to be a very popular choice for people at college, ha ha, they dont know what they are missing. People seem to go for the bike at uni though, well it sure looks like it with all those bikes parked around the campus.
The great thing is I get to park within the school grounds in the corner of the teacher's carpark while all the cage driving students have to fight it out for parking nearby

im 7th form at westlake, only for a short while longer. Started off riding a vespa back in 5th form. That went down like a ton of bricks. "he was a scooterboy he wanted to root a boy" etc etc. Then upgraded to the GF250 and then it was just 'motorbikes are gay', "why dont you just get a car?" but the best one is "what do you do when it rains?" well i spose you get wet for fucks sake. Many people have said they would drag me but only two tried, and both lost, even when i fucked up my takeoff!!!
Personally 95% of people at school are just jealous because their parents wouldnt let them drive a motorbike, and realisticly even if they were alowd to they wouldnt have the balls to anyway.
There are now five 'bikers' at my school, only four of us park at school in our designated bike park  we also have shed where we can put all our gears. There is me on the GF250, a 91 CBR250R, an 86 VTR250, and a 2003/4 EN-125 (a gn125 engine in a naked tourish bike). Aswell as my mate on the 93 MC22 CBR250RR who parks at his mums work down the road.
btw, the more bikers there are, it seems there are more people wanting to ride bikes. I wouldnt be surprised if there were 10 bikers by the end of 2007. Many people ask about my bike and if i know someone that wants to sell one, however when you want to sell your bike they dont want to know :sly:
go hard, bikers rock

Good to hear about ol' Westlake.
When I was there the only person with a bike was my mate and his gn250. He only had it for 5th form then bought an automatic 'cringe' FXGT in 6th form.
No one else had a bike for the time I was there.
He still loves bikes and he's always over the moon when I let him have a go on my bike.

Was that in the dark ages? did they allow lunch breaks or was it compulsory manual labour? kidding.
Anyway, we had lots of bikers when I went to school, heaps of MotoX riders, so they made up the bulk of bikes parked at school, when I was a 5th former 1 of the 7th formers had a brand spanking new Suzuki Impulse 400, I would say we had more then 30 bikes at school at one time when I was 5th form.

Yep same guy as the Kahn at Rangi now, pont tail and shiny head and all. He's still a great teacher so I hear, I've never had him as a teacher but my younger sister has him this year.

So True!
Hell yeah! Bikes own. No one has made fun of me about the bike really, many have on occasions tried to argue with me over why bikes are stupid and why cars are better - funny thing is they start the arguments and I usually finish them ;)
When the 'discussions' of bike versus car occur, the message of power to weight ratio comes across, the very eager "Comeone I'll drag you anytime, my car will kick your bike's ass!" suddenly changes tone. They never seem to appear after school, I wonder what happened to them?
Personally I would much rather have my 2002 mint looking FXR over some shitty old cage for $3000. Mechanical problems? what are those!

i have had a few mech probs with my bike but i spose thats what goes with a 1980's bike. All the same, i paid $1200 for it and i dont think that any car in school worth $1200 could drag/race me and win well, not up to bout 145kmh anyway coz my top end is shit.
As for the ZXR, well if you can get a car for $1000 and then spend about $500 to get it on the road and have it doing 220kmh and being able to drag like a mofo i'd like to see it, i think the quickest car at my school is an integra which would whip my ass at top end but would probably match/be slower than me in a drag... and that cost him $18,000 of his dads money lol.

by the way if any of you 'college' riders want to go for a ride/cruise some time give me a text, me and my mate hamish are normally keen. Nothing stupid, but i would like to do a Queen st run one weekend. See y'all on the road after exams :2thumbsup

When I get my bike so I can go to school on it, I'm going to get the most ridiculous spolier on the back, and make a wheelie bar, then roll beside the 7th formers in their souped up cars, and say 'race ya'. What would be even better is if my bike was like an old AX100.

zxr is a 250, im looking at a few slight mods that should give me a little extra speed.

carb work (jets, needles etc), polishing etc, depends how much time i want to spend on it etc. And how much money i have. I would like to, but its highly unlikey at $790CAN, but i am considering nos... but like i said probably not

hhhmmmm 200kmh with carbs, exhaust and sproket mods yep.... But 220.... i dont know, my 400 gets upto that, but only just, and its got 65hp

Sounds good, I'll be in but only after exams and once we have holidays. I'm off after 30th of Nov, if enough other 'college' riders are keen then we be organising something. Looks like I'm the young one here, 7th former next year.

my neighbour (has a vtr1000) told me that they had a zxr250 keeping up with them and they were doing 200+ but i spose that topping out at 200 is still pretty hard out anyway... if you come off over 120 your probably dead anyway.
Hey SuperDave, my mate has an FXR with an Arrow can (same as ducatis) he may be interested in swapping it with you + some cash, its worth about $900 so pm me and tell me what you think. It sounds fucking mean, i'm sure you wont regret it :bleh:

Shit, i've just deid a few times. Sliding down the road at 100+ is nothing, it's the sudden stop that hurts.
Fast ZXR dude, i was lucky to get 220 out of my VFR400.

ok, maybe a wee bit over zealous but we gotta bend the truth a little bit to keep the cagers on their feet. At the end of the day when the 'boy racers' get smart you just gotta open the throttle and say :finger: (of course im not condoning speeding or nething)
