Ok daft question............... but tomorrow is my first meaningful outing on track since breaking my neck/arm/teeth/shoulder, getting nerve damage in my shoulder and serious concussion in a big race crash at Brands Hatch, UK in early 2006.

Tomorrow i'm giving a mates CBR600RR07 an outing at Pukekohe and while not nervous i'm intrigued to see how i feel on board the bike and if i'm able to get up to a reasonable pace.

Roll on tomorrow and trying to remember how to ride......:eek5:

the honduhs don't have gears, not those step through sorts you'll be riding tomorrow ;)

have fun .. i'm sure you know the track by now the amount of laps you've done in the TT.

i'll be there on sunday (if it doesn't rain!)

in all fairness the gear lever still looks pretty solid. Going by other suzi riders I'm obviously not riding this one hard enough as shes not been down the road yet.. so to speak!

I said that to the owner of colemans the other day, piece of shit suzuki's . They go fast but you have to be quick cos they fall to pieces after 5,000k's. Its a shame the honduhs engine wasn't a little more spritely.

back on track.. have fun and be wary over the hill!

Sounds like you've been through a lot. I hope your first day back isn't too nerve wracking, and it'll all feel familiar by the end of the day. All the best.
Cheers

HONDA'S dont need a gearbox......... one gear takes care of all the others anyhow  <_<

Ok daft question...............

Daft answer....the gear should be on both sides of your body, and at both ends.

Cheers all..........

Had a great day at the circuit getting used to bikes again........ managed two sessions on the CBR600RR and two on a 2005 R1. Rode like a bit of a granny in places as i really wasn't keen on pushing to hard on other peoples bikes.

Interesting track conditions at Pukekohe today as when we arrived there was some serious earthworks going on in the centre of the circuit with a constant cloud of brown earth dust blowing from the machines straight over turn 1.

Felt at home straight away on the 600 but then 600's are the bikes i've raced most in the past but the R1 was good fun also.

Set some half decent times that i'm happy with for a track day with traffic and fairly sure i know where a few seconds could be made up with a better bike that's mine not someone else's if you know what i mean plus race day laps are so much faster.

I think my misses hoped i wouldn't enjoy the day so much as i did as she's keen i move to the dark side of car racing.

Thankfully the organisers managed to make some phone calls and get it stopped, otherwise I might have had to deal with a few more crashes. You gotta wonder why they would be doing that sort of work when the tracks in use.

Glad you enjoyed yourself
