hXc is going.
He had decided not to, preferring to put his (our) dollars into his Belgium exchange. He has been for the last 6 years and didn't really want to miss out. So when he was asked to be assistant drum techy on Mainstage, he jumped at the chance.

Short answer..No.
No personal vehicles inside the site.
There are parking areas outside the venue, you will be directed to park there.

For starters my bike is always clean and his bike is always horribly, horribly dirty ! (It's true) I wouldn't know about the performance. I'd assume the 07 would be a tad faster than the 06. I personally think the 06 looks better. :) I love it:love::love::love::love::love::love::love:

switchfoot i guess, the only band i really liked was dave doybbn and he was so good. Pillar was the good too way back when.

One band I would like to see would be project 86.

I don't really go for the music as crazy as it seems, I just like to catch up with some mates who I havn't seen for a year, but it gets so expensive now.

My daughter is going again for the 3rd year in a row. Thought i might ride down to HMLTN on the Saturday, leave bike at mum's and con sister into dropping me at Mystery Creek so it don't get nicked (renegade master). Apart from great experience would be a good opportunity to play gooseberry on daughter and her b-f (evil )

Not for all! I took hXc up there today...the place looks so different without 30000 people in it! I even got to drive the car in...sure beats walking carrying all your gear!
It is VERY hot and humid there, folks.
Take your sunscreen and remember to drink plenty (water, that is)

Well. I'm home, tired. Very tired.
It was an awesome experience, and the guys from all the bands were pretty cool. Jonezetta and Rapture Ruckus were my favourites. Switchfoot were good, but I enjoyed Jonezetta a lot more.

I had 3 and a half hours sleep on Saturday night, followed by a 16hr day yesterday. I think I still need to catch up on sleep.

Thanks for making it an awesome weekend for all the bands and people there guys. It was cool seeing what I helped to achieve. And all the people enjoying themselves out front of mainstage.

it would be OK I guess, except for the compulsory god bothering.

did they crucify anyone this year, or is that only at the Jewish equivalent of paracute?

why is it called parachute anyway?

bet there was heaps of pissed up stray poon there though, right? am i right? huh?

Unlikely, booze, drugs, and skimpy clothing free event.

*AMAZING* signature by the way. Took me a while to remember what song it was from.

isnt parachute a rock festival? if so then OF COURSE there was stray poon and heaps of gettin' the freak on.

I watched that DK's clip in your sig BTW. Try and check out the DK's "Live at the Deaf Club" CD its very good indeed. I suspect that clip was taken from a tape of that show.

Go figure. Only festival that all entrants must abide by a 'moral code'.

I.E. No drinking
No Drugs
No mixed gender tents, unless they are married
No skimpy clothing

It's no Big Day Out

...wouldn't see the DK's playing there.

No crucifixions either.
It is called Parachute after one of the headline acts, Parachute Band.
On Friday, 3 people were trespassed from the site for infringing the booze/drugs rule.

HDC...compulsory God bothering? You oughta go to Parachute next year. Saves you from making yourself look stupid with comments like that. If God isn't your thing, there is still plenty of things to do and bands to see (all the bands are Christian, but the majority don't preach during their set at all.)

None of their gear arrived so they only had the clothes they were in and a few iPods etc (which was lucky, 'cause all their backing tracks were on the iPod). I was really impressed with them, and they were really grateful for all that we did for them. I went to buy the album, but it had sold out unfortunately.
