Hi, looking for a quad for my wife...shes a really quiet rider and it will be beach/small sandhills she will be riding on...thought about the Chinese 110-150cc ones, maybe not in the same quality league as the Japs but maybe would suit her well? Shes 5'3 and 50kg...speed isn't really important, just something she can muck around on in the sand. How capable are the small 110cc chinese ones. able to handle really light beach hills? Seems the secondhand Jap ones on TardMe for around a grand are thrashed, worn out shitters...cheers...

The suspension on a chinese one is likely to be much worse that a jap one. She will enjoy the jap one much more.

agree with all of the above. chinese bikes aren't worth the hassle especially for your wife, and you'll find it far inferior to your quadrunner mostly in suspension which is pretty important for a new rider. just my 2c

Chinese bikes are crap, at the moment anyway give them 10 years and they might be better. If you buy one you will end up with a black hole that takes all your money.

my mate had 2 chinese shitters for his kids and they sucked the dirty kumera.
stay away man.
the amount of welding he done on them the shocks were shit and just the genereal ergos of the bike made them real uncomfortable.
i rode one of themonce and swore never again.
he dumped them and bought a z90 and a z250.
get a jap one.
i mean the z 400 is only about 8k new
the z 250 was dearer than the 400 ( i dont know why)
so a second hand good one would'nt be to bad.
