Well I always said I would never buy or own a Harley - one should never say never :oi-grr:

Hmmm....I pick her up this week and cant wait. :woohoo: An XLSportster.

No doubt I will be asking a lot of stoopid questions over the next few weeks (possibly months) so be easy on me you cruiser guys!

Why did I buy?

Well I been looking for a few months on and off but getting anything I can reach the ground on without making a lot of mods is a bit tough.

I am a slow sprots bike rider but seem to have recently received a few too many tickets on the roads.

Welcome to the cruiser side of life......

So a HOG huh...... well next you have to buy the vest and the bandana... and the boots to match...... then join the HOG club...... yep a whole new world when one either owns a HOG or a cruiser....

Look forward to seeing the picture......

As long as you're having good safe fun and you got a smile on your dial, who gives a raspberry?

You're accountable to no one for what makes you happy.

Post some pics soon though!

I used to say I'd never ride a sportsbike or own a Harley, yet here I am seriously looking at a Buell....

Good onya for giving it a go. Cruisers are just as much fun at slower speeds as sportbikes are at fast when you know how to use them.

If its got two wheels its a bike in my eyes, so good choice girl.

I see on this page http://www.bikez.com/motorcycles/harley-davidson_xl1200l_sportster_low_2007.php they are saying the L version has a seat height of 711mm and they talk of "adjustable" so can you raise and lower the rider's seat? Even at 711mm I can see why you chose this.

What colour you getting?

Its predominantly white. A bit of a worry given my lack of enthusiasm to clean.

Teah will bring it to Taupo. Will try and sweet talk Frosty to letting me out end of day or summit when track is clear....can only lean on the left handers though :msn-wink:
