Hi everyone,

Like it suggests in the title, I'm a bit far from where you are - south of Spain, to be precise - but I've just signed up to the site today.

I confess to having a particular reason for looking you up and that is to let everyone here know about RaceBikeManager 2008, the charity fundraising fantasy bike race league that is returning for its second year. All donations will be shared equally between the Association of Air Ambulance Charities and Riders for Health.

On behalf of the team at RaceBikeManager, a big 'thank you' to Cajun and the rest of your Admin team for letting us tell you about the game on the forum.

I've posted a thread giving a full description of the game over in Rants & Raves, so please spare a moment to check it out. If you like us, please spread the word on any other bike forums you frequent - the more the merrier!

As for me, I'm a semi-retired former RAF officer who's now a climate asylum seeker on the Costa Blanca. Great weather and loads of terrific roads paid for with my UK tax contributions to the European Union infrastructure funds :headbang: Figured I should get my money's worth, you know? :woohoo:

I've got a nicely tweaked Yamaha Fazer 1000 (FZ1) that is probably the best allrounder to have hit the market in the last 20 years. Sorry, Viffer owners but it's true ;)

Anyway, I'll be checking in frequently to see how things are going, so see you around :)

Thanks in advance to you all for your support.

Registering as I type. Will spread the word within my little biker community.

That should stir things up - with a bit of luck!

How long have you lived there?

I am a pommie and got into KB through a NZ navy guy based temporarily in Portsmouth. I was over in NZ for a month over Xmas and New Year and thanks to KB I met some extremely genuine people and got to see a lot of the country from the back of a multitude of bikes!!

Hoping to move to NZ permanently by the end of the year. But for the moment I am in cold, dreary Pompey!! But if I can stir things up for you then I will do my best, I do seem to have a knack for it on here:innocent:

I'm a self-confessed climate asylum seeker down here in southern Spain, so I sympathise with you being stuck back in Pompey. Still, great to learn that you have plans to alter that soon. :)

A visit to New Zealand is next on my 'to do' list of major holiday adventures ... probably winter 2009/10.

Good luck with your plans to move :D
