Bring our bikes with us, Honda Africa Twin 07a and BMW GS 1200:calm:.

Anybody else riding these fine bikes?
Or originated from Germany as well?

Gonna settle down in the New Plymouth area.

Gidday Jurgen, yes, there are R1200 Gs owners here, I'm in Auckland. You'll find the bike will be ideal for NZ, especially Taranaki.

There is a BMW Owners club here as well. www.bmwor.org.nz, but the kiwibikers are a lot more active in organising rides.

see you round!

Hi Mate, you might have more luck finding GS & AT owners in the Adventure (http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=67) Forum

Cheers
Clint

It varies with the different regions. Here in Rangitikei (Palmerston North region) the club is very active and regularly has rides organised. That may change now the area rep is standing down, but there are rides organised year-round as well as other things like their summer ride and dine nights where you meet up and ride to a restaurant for dinner.

Hi Juergen

The BMW dealer in New Plymouth went out of business so that has probably effected the number BMWs seen hereabout.

That's OK though, we aren't too fussy, we'll even ride with people on BMWs:yes:

Let's know when you arrive.

Hello Jeurgen and welcome to Kiwibiker.

I am from the UK and have only been here for a year. New Zealand is a fantastic country for motorbikers and I am sure you will be very happy. I have met a fair number of Germans in New Zealand however I am sure you will also find it easy to make friends with New Zealanders. They are very welcoming and friendly. Good luck to you and your wife.

Oh cool, you made it, welcome. To be honest, I've not seen my German friend in a while, such is life but he's a great bloke, should be no problem introducing you.

As for you and I, we may be meeting up on Monday I hear.

I'll stick you on my Friends list so we can exchange details.

All the best.
