View Full Version : Carb Balancers

I have a set of carb balancers that I bought for six-monthly balancing of the VTR's carbs. They don't work for the VFR, but rather than sell them, or having them gather cobwebs in the tool cupboard, I thought I'd make them available to other KBers to use.

They will work on 2, 3, and 4 cylinder carburettored bikes.

Just PM me if you want to borrow them: they're free to borrow, as long as they're returned in good condition. (I don't want to make any money from this, but feel free to make a donation to Kiwi Biker).

I've written some rudimentary instructions, and can supply some help, but it's up to the borrower to find out how their bike's carbs are adjusted, where the vacuum spigots are, etc. The gauges come with adaptors for standard Jap vacuum ports (4mm?) and some connector hoses, but you will need your own tools.

Note:
These are the dial (gauge) type, so they're not as accurate as the mercury manometer type, nor the new electronic gauges. They're fine for balancing carbs to equal vacuum, but not accurate enough for weird bikes like mine that require an incremental offset between cylinders.
