Ok so my bracket for my pannier bags broke (think it cracked after my wooopsy) so I went to see if it can be weilded and was told hed try for 200 but wouldnt recommend it because it may not work due to the brace being an aluminium casting. Crap. I looked online $400.00. Someone recommended JB WELD so I did a wee bit of research but sounds dodgy. Any ideas, any spare braces laying around because Im going to the Harley Rally and am not going to be happy if I cant take more than a back pack of clothes and have to carry them.

Has anyone used this JB weld stuff on anything?

Doubt JBWeld would take that load. You could plate it, but it'd be butt ugly.

You do not have to buy the whole rack you can just buy the bits you need.
I have a different GIVI wing rack and have replaced the side part and so has a mate of mine.
You can get the part welded and I would not try to JB weld repair

I just went to a local bike parts shop (Budget Motorcycles) and they had a Givi catalog.
I would try Northern Accessories
http://www.northacc.co.nz/content/kernel_public_welcome.aspx
Or
Moto Mail
http://www.motomail.co.nz/
Ring them and I'm sure they will fix you up.
Check on the Givi site to make sure that you know what model rack you have.

This I think is yours.

and tell which side you want.

Have you checked to see if your insurance covers it?

I had the woopsy a year ago and think it caused an unseen hairline crack which over time cracked in half. I dont think that after all this time I could claim....

Hey Trump Lady, I've got a givi rack myself and it has also snapped.
Heading out to my mate's engineering workshop this Weekend to see if he can weld it up.
I'll let you know if he's successful!

JB weld is epoxy glue - it isn't going to cut it in this case. It can be welded by any good aluminium welder (e.g. Machine Part Welding).
If you get no joy, give me a call and bring it around to my place and I can weld it. No guarentees tho, as some of the pot metals are almost unweldable, or become brittle.
