May sound like a silly question but here goes:

Has anyone done the restricted test in Tuaranga recently?

Care to elaborate on what circuit they do?
Any other pointers?

Thanks.

Did mine last year. If you get an old guy hes a wanker and well known for it so give him shit for me after you get your license.

Went over to oceanbeach road thru concorde avenue. He sends you up the road and gets you to tell him the hazards. Then sent me down to mcdonald street and back. Couldnt hear the wanker properly so he got right up me.

He followed me down to bayfair roundabout and down matapihi rd and turned around after railway line.

Easy test but he makes feel like youve failed it then he passes you.:2guns:

Practiced that circuit and several othe roads in the area, then the test took her the other way down Newton St, Maunganui Rd and out to the beach then back around up Totara St.

Just like you didn't say if she had passed or failed, left her sitting there wondering for about 5 mintues then brought out the temporary licence for her to sign.

Good to hear it went well, but I just have to echo Naughty's post ... the guys a real tosser! Especially the above parts. I did my restricted then full with him last year. I think I nearly failed twice before my restricted started by:

1. Offering him a handshake to start
2. Asking for clarification as to the name of the street that was "turn left at the second set of lights".

His direction commands thru the earpiece were all like "turnmh mmmhhhmmmpph at mmmmmmhhhggh then mummmmmmmbleeeeh"

I had wisened up by my full and asked to turn the volume right up on the radio receiver. He told me to stop by the golf club on Matapihi Road after going out to the railway Xing (watch the speed limits, they change every couple of hundred metres along that road), then didn't actually say I'd passed, just took ages in getting out of his car and asked for my licence.

Good luck anyone else attempting a Tauranga test!
