Hey Dude, how about supporting rallies like this which can only grown with participation of mad keen bikers.

I reckon you and rashika should come, and what about the rest of you, I dont need any excuses to get on my bike.........

They have obviously put a lot of effort into this so come on dudes, I lvoe to hang about, so come out to play..............pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeease.

So plan of attack is get to Tekapo on Friday night, camp down with an Ashburton chum of mine, then hoon rather slowly...

Am quite excited as havent been there yet, and Governers Bay Road, looks kinda funky, and I think Breakfast in a Lyttleton Cafe could be rather groovy.

Have decided not to drink booze like its my last night alive as its a pissing long way back home, so will be rather more soberer than normal at this one.

Come on Dudes, come to it, make this rally as success.

Hope you all do when I and a few of the Queenstowny host our rally next year..............:Punk:

Right now, being on here, has brightened my rather sullen mood I brought home with me, for some unknown reason, probably coz I lashed out $95 on a fishing licence, am going to PoolBurn Fly Fishing with my Angling Club to catch some dinner....Fuck this catch and release lark.

Cooooey, brown trout come to Woodybee.

Later Dudes:msn-wink::grouphug::drinkup::spudwave:

So anyone for bacon and eggs looking at the beautiful lake unfold in front of bleery eyes.........going to take a box of cardboard wine.....have find a nice red wine, and 3 litres goes a long way.......I went fly fishing fri/sat at Poolburn with my Fly Fish Club.....and indulged in a bit of the rough and red stuff,, and by fuck did I sleep or what!! but hmmm more vague than normal in the morning:slap:

So who wants to join us at Tekapo Friday night eh eh eh.....COME ON

Hey Dudes and Dudess's see you all soon.....:spudwave::spudwave::ride::hug:

wohoooooooooooo... on the bike over the hill 20min later at the pub sopping wet, man I wish I had chrome knuckles... not.

Pitty about the weather people I would expect the field to be well flooded out, bit of a shit really as the publican was doing well with this rally.
If the weather clears and I doubt it Ill be over for a quick spin and a beer CK shout.

haha... hehe, ok so it seems that Rashika, Thunder, SuzyQ and my self were the only bikers at the pub, ohh there was one other a fella that also rides a Guzzi.
What happened to you LLS?
The publican said there wre no entrents to day and about 6 fri night and they shot through 1st thing thismorning.

Rally postponed
Till next weekend, so all those that were keen to go will still get the chance next weekend.
The plans are the same as far as the organiser is concerned just a week later

Cool - something to do next week.

Just as well I didn't go over - I thought about calling in to see if anyone wanted (rescuing) a dry place to sleep tonight but decided if they were there they probably really wanted to be there :)

there were three tents in the paddock friday night, me, a couple from timaru on a Goldwing and a dude on a BMW who went and stayed somewhere off site. It was that fucking windy, wet and cold sat morn, Nothing open anywhere, no place to get a hot drink to warm up, So I packed my gear and rode home. The dryest place I could find on site was the mobile loos!
Posponed till next weekend? Took all day sunday to dry out the gear.
Fun riding home in the that wind and rain, got blowen sideways several times woo hooo.....Ice skating on a bike! I accually enjoyed it!
mmmmmm should I bother retracing my steps this weekend?

Good on you, Subike et al. I saw some riders heading up towards Chch on Friday night and thought they were pretty hardy. By Sat am I was thinking about driving out to see if anyone needed a hot shower and a clothes dryer (rescuing), but saw D's post (no one left there). We were definately thinking about you while we were tucked up in our warm, dry homes ...

Come back this weekend :)

Still pretty empty today :P

But of course as I type this you are probably still there with Pete. NAUGHTY!

Me and Jody are heading for the ladies at the Clock in about 5 minutes.

Well I am, I'm just using Jody as bait.

Yes it was still very quite when we left 6:30 - 7ish.

I have to feel sorry for them as they were rained off and then not everyone knew that it was on this weekend.

On the up side we did see more bikes heading there as we headed home.

If it stops raining and doesn't look like it will again, I may head back for a look and to see what my head lights are like at night.(on my new bike)

Talking about new bikes.:innocent::whistle::shutup::wait:

I went back late and left about 11:30ish.

Well I had a very interesting night.

For a started the lights on the Daytona are good and the digital speedo is easy to read on the other hand the tac looks nice in it red and white colours was harder to read, which is OK as it is long legged and at night you are no where near the red line.

First thing to happen was a happy local drunk guy call Paul said hello and before I could go into the bar, fell though the glass window in the door.
Going by the size of the bits of glass we all thought that he would be cut in half or a least have some large bits in this stomach.
He got away with nicks and small cuts only one maybe needed a band-aid.
He did hit his head hard on the cross-member of the door and they were having trouble keeping him awake.
Now this could have been just because he had a few to many so I'm sure they called the Ambo, all the best Paul hope you are OK now after a sleep.

Second thing was Possums do not look left and right before crossing the road.
Stouts on the other hand do stop on the white line to wait for you to go pass.
Thank you.

The wind was stronger going back and a fully faired bike gets knocked around more and branches rolling down and across the road are not good for the heart.

And riding though town I have never seen so many red and blue flashing light heading in every which way because of the boy racer event.
They were passing each other and passing the car the other cop was after to get to their target.

First few times I thought they were after me.

O yeah there were a few more people at the site, it still looked dead and quite.
No light on a the site so could not count the tents or do a head count.
There was couple of dozen people still up and about in the bar.
On the other hand the few rally goers made the best of it and the band was good and they turned the band around to face the pub.

Ah, new bikes, there were some beauties there yesterday. Isn't life good. :)

... the few rally goers made the best of it and the band was good and they turned the band around to face the pub.

Pleased to hear that, shame the rally didn't work out even with a second attempt. Weather was biggest factor. But having the band playing in the afternoon to an empty field was just plain crazy.
