Would like to have the carbs sorted on a little Kawaka that I bought from my wife.

Not entirely happy with the shop I have used previously and it occurred to me that when I was in Oz, I always used an independant mechanic always felt that I got better service that way.

the lads at Spectrum are normally pretty good, Brent especially knows his stuff and they are Kaeasaki dealers to boot

Is Brent the old or young guy?

Greg is the young mechanic, Brent is the old mechanic (owner) and Grant is in parts/sales

Spectrum spectrum spectrum.
If you're talking about the little balius, take it there. They've dealt with it before and always done a top notch job. The younger guy who keeps breaking bones MX'ing is a great guy!

Ok seems to be a popular choice, I'll keep using Spectrum.

If I'm being honest with myself, they have always done good work for me in the past. It was just the last experience that left me a little miffed - most likely a one off.

Talk to them about it next time when you go back. They've been real good to deal with (even though I haven't been there for ages) and they'll sort it out for you.

Yeah dude go with Spectrum, won't go wrong. Or if you're a cheeky bugger like me than you'd make friends with one of good mechanics and offer them something good they would be happy with and tell them to come around and do the job at your place.

That's what I've done and now I have a mechanic mate who I just pay cash and he gets the parts cheap for me. Works out for him and me as well. He makes more and I save more. Got a whole lot of work done on my ZXR250 once, carbs, valves and saved more than $800 in comparison to the quote I got from his shop :)

I have only heard good things about Spectrum, but Classic_Z in Whangaparaoa on 424-0477 is a good guy too. He owns Hibiscus Coast Service Centre.

Brent is definatly the type you could talk to about any issues you have there.
