Well I said I wasn't going to but I thought I'd share what I'm upto with the GPZ 750 :niceone: It isn't a restoration as such but giving the old girl a well earned new lease of life.

I put a thread (http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/showthread.php?t=64813) up a wee while ago trying to trackdown some header pipes and then this one (http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/showthread.php?t=65114) as I was very very close to getting a set sent out coz they're cheaper than locally made by more than $300 & thats landed here.

I dug around some of my contacts and managed to find a full set of headers for $60 :2thumbsup, they need a bit of work but are solid & not rotten (the ones on the bike were rotten around the balance pipe) and a shitload cheaper than OEM parts which were $765 for the header unit minus #2 & #3 pipes.

I've put a set of FGB discs on the front as the originals were knackered.

I've started to refurbish the side panels as they'd been roughly painted in a motley black. I enlisted MSTRS to do a set of decals which have turned out brilliantly (:2thumbsup awesome job mate!).

Going to start on to the pipes soon then a few other jobs as well and hopefully she'll be all set for a debut at the March Hare

pic are:

1) On the way home after picking the GPZ up
2) Partially cleaned up but with new discs fitted
3) A full compliment of header pipes (old 1s on the right)
4) Side panels underway & decals ready for finishing the job
