Hi All,

This lady does a lot of volunteer work for the SPCA with injured birds. She was also the lady that picked up our cat when he got hit by car.

After seeing this lady in the Western Leader, we wanted to help. No spare cash at the moment, so we are selling a spare bed.

Bid away, all proceeds to this lady.

Don't need a bed, but good on you, people like this need all the help they can get.

I support the Horowhenua Animal Rescue Society by running a charity auction for them every Christmas. I make and ice a fruit cake, pudding, biscuits, etc and add cat themed items (calendar, notebooks, etc). The first year it went for $140 and the second $100. I love being able to hand over money at that time of the year when their need is so great.

We also got two of our three cats from there - the other one came from the SPCA.

Speaking of birds, did anyone see that baby Morepork on Close Up last night? Absolutely gorgeous!

Nope, this lady lives near the old Pinesong Golf Course on Avonleigh Road. I've been trying to find the Western Leader link to put up, but I can't. So I stopped trying.

C'mon people. Don't let it go for $26.

Thats good cos the Sth Titirangi one is a totaly loony and is going to get someone hurt soon. She feeds ducks on her property and they walk all over the road (hazard!). Then some of the poor things get run over.

Well, this lady is the person who looks after the hurt ducks.
