It goes something like "On a bike you are free, in a car you are trapped in a cage"
Welcome BTW

Not silly - it's a lame metaphor that indicates motorcyclists can't come up with a worthwhile description for 4 wheeled vehicles.

"Im going for a blat " = Im going for a ride.
"ahh fuck I've binned" = Oh deary me I just crashed?
"uh oh pigs!" = Now youve done it the cops are after ya..
"bitch pad" = pillion seat
"chrome slut" = someone who loves chrome on a bike
"lane splitting" = when a bike goes between the cars on the motorway during rush hour etc.

It's also their way to put down all car drivers as mindless morons while motorcyclists are some kind of superior beings.
It helps create their "us and them" mentality.

Welcome..........i like the term....Cagers or Cage...
If you prefer we could use the following definition Person in vehicular mode of transport trying to run you over at any given opportunity through lack of concentration, consideration, or just plain failing to look and then see you on your motorbike
is a little bit of a mouthful..........
I feel like i am in a cage when i drive my car or take public transport {shudder}
that also could have something to do with the origin of the term.:woohoo:

The VBulletin system, perversely and annoyingly, requires that anypost must be a minimum of 10 characters (excluding quoted matter).
(sp) indicates that the writer has doubts has to the correctness of his orthography but is too lazy to look it up.
And emo is self evident ? The author considered someone (presumably not himself) to be an emo .

It would help if you believe this, and quote it often. BEFORE you meet us... and learn the truth.

If you favour American spelling you will be warned by the BDOTGNZA, which is a shadowy organisation on Kiwibiker properly titled the "Brave Defenders Of The Great New Zealand Arse".
And there's L.O.A. for the porn section, but nobody knows what that means.

Cage is a term used for a car - this came from the hard core biker Harley rider in the US....nice to see the sportsbike crowd taking on the language of the bike gangs.

Not all VBulletins. They just chose to configure this particular installation to ask for 10char.
Easily avoidable, check out my next post. (Akshully that only works as well as I thought it did in Firefooks).

USD = Upside down forks.
Example "If your bike doesn't have USD you're better off in your 'cage'." (apparantly)

I think the term cage is very appropriate - ever seen anyone being cut out of a bike after they crash?

Yesterday for a short time I had SWF (sideways forks) after someone backed into my bike and knocked it over ... while I was still sitting on it. ARGHHHH! More on that story when I get time to write it.

Wot's orthography mean...???:innocent:
Ixion
7th February 2008, 11:20
Well, y'know what pornography is ? (Yeah, thought so)
And ortho is bones, cos when y' come orf n break y'r arm y' have to go to an orthopedic surgeon.
So orthography is pornography involving bones (boners, I guess). Or skeletons. Kinky .
