I agree with the maori leader, tagging is a valid form of expression and certainly is not a criminal act.
Where else are the kiddies going to spray their spray cans apart from on your newly painted fence, wall, shed etc.
In fact, i would have said it would be pollitically incorrect to remove this lovely artwork from your property.
Anyway, it's all the white mans fault for removing the maori's natural tagging grounds and putting up unsightly hospitals and schools, whatever next?!!?

When I was 14 I sprayed my initials on a neighbours fence. Of course as they were my initials it was easy to conclude who did it. (Came from a very small village). I got a kicking from the ol' man and a slap from the neighbour and was made to clean it off. And thus ended my tagging career. And no I didn't consider it as a form of artistic expression.

In New Guinea, they would probably just smash their hands with a hammer, or chop some fingers off.......... they would never tag again:bye:

Go tag their houses and ask them again what they think.

Happened with the Police Minister (hence why she wants to go tough on it now)

I wonder if they'd feel the same way if their local Marae got done?

Didn't a Maori politician once say that.....oops.......sorry it was "kill a white a day" and it was swept under the carpet by gutless pollies. Guess the reverse doesn't apply. Racism in reverse methinks.

maybe they should make it legal if said tagger only wrote his correct full name?

you'd think a leader of such status would be able to differentiate between graffiti and tagging. somebody email her a link to wiki.

Ooooh Oooooh I go for the option of catching the little buggers, stripping them down to the bare essentials of clothing, tying them to a rack, and letting the general population loose to spray them with all manner of hard-to-remove shit (i mean paint) then leave it to dry before releasing them off the rack.
Could be even more entertaining if they were naked......
p.s. and none of this namby pamby wash off with water paint!

graffiti IS tagging, & vice versa

bombing, however, is art ... thats the big murals done with cans seen in some cities now....

i vote we go tag ourselves a few marae .... see how they like it :devil2:

So you wont object when I artisticly inscribe my initials in the face of the little wanker who decided to repaint my garage door?

Too right Kick.
Aunty Turia must have been on bad drugs that day!!
Sooooo, tagging is ok is it??? Artistic expression and all??

Would aunty Turia like it if we sprayed swatz signs all around her home or marae?? Oh come on Tari, it's harmless expression.......

Get a life ya sack of shite. Let someone else with some brains help run our country.

I just heard the maori leader said that stealing is ok too, it's like a maori artform and you should feel privelliged if you get your stuff......."borrowed" because, in your own small way, you're contributing to make New Zealand a more cultured place.

Sounds good. I would vote for this. There has to be some consequences for the vandalism and that is what it is. Just the same as someone keying alongside your car. It is deliberate vandalism.

Did ya see the :weird: little shits on 20/20 the other night??? They said in their interview, that they have no regard for anyone else's property & that they tag for the fame of it.. coz everyone knows who they are! :oi-grr: There's a cleanup crew up in Auckland that go out every day.. & paint over the tagging.. (which then gets tagged again overnight.. :slap:) ironically, one of them is the uncle of the kid that got killed the other day.. for tagging!

OK Electronics whizzkids... here's a question for you

How to build the following. Big fucken kick arse electric shock circuit to be completed when one of these gremlins applies paint to a surface. My basic knowledge and idea goes like this

Little solar panel to slowly collect the zap stuff and charge a cazapitor
A 1 Farad Cazapitor... nothing too big (he says feigning innocence)
1 pole of the cazapitor is attached to a nail or something obscure in the fence so it's really not obvious
Other pole somehow attached to the tagger (an earth plate or something they stand on? - this is where I need the help)So a big night out goes a little something like this
"Chea bro... keep lookout, I'm gonna be famous man check this out"

chicka-chicka-chicka - psssst... psssst pssssssssssst psts CRACK!!!!!!!!!

If the little fuckers have no idea which surfaces are dangerous they'll hopefully leave them alone.

Isn't racism when a white person makes a comment deemed offensive towards a person of darker skin? I was brought up at school being told it only worked one way, at least that was the impression I got.

If you ever get that electric fence to work let me know.
FTF.:chase:
Also had a mate whose fence was regularly tagged, if he ever got them (not that he did), he would tie them to a lamp post and spray them with their own paint, put up a sign saying who they were so the whole area would know. Thought it sounded reasonable, considering what he really wonted to do.

Doersn't that perfectly illustrate how tiny the world they live in is? Next to no one would even try and decipher the mess they make, Its just mess. may as well spit on the ground and claim some fame.

Anyway, They need the bash, and they need the bash until they stop destroying our property. Fuck the communist tree hugging dykes running this country, If we can't rely on those being employed to catch and convince them to stop them then the community themselves must do it.

Catch a tagger, Bash a tagger.

meanwhile respect for the law continues to fade, On both sides of the spray can.

erm...yeah, no, but,
1. it's irrelevant. That should go to Transport minister instead of police minister
2. her daughter got caught once, and turned out to have drugs possessions too when the cops searched her car. But she was still the health minister at that time, though.
3. Happened with the PM and it didn't change a thing.

It's not the same analogy, but good try though :p

1) Well why are we not pulled over for speeding by a 'transport controller' then...why are the 'police' involved at all??? Surely they should be doing 'police' work then?
2) That will explain our waiting lists in the health sector then
3) No...she was 'unaware' of the speed they were traveling at; she was to busy signing paintings she hadn't painted I think

Its the same analogy if i say it is! :bleh:

1. Police are tasked to uphold the law. Transport Ministry makes the law. You can't shoot the messenger, now can you? :)

2. How does it explain?

3. It's not the same analogy.
A good analogy would go begin with "a sea cucumber walks into a bar..."
