Anyone doing Hwy 22 Waitangi day, bewary of unmarked gravel patch repairs. Nearly lost it tonight coming from Glen Murray end towards Pukekawa approaching a nice couple of esses, there is heavy gravelled patch in the road the size of a couple of cars parks on a nice left hand 45 to 55 km type turn. There are still the odd feral turkey's being feral turkey's, hit one during Christmas , they can cause some damage. Also the time I came thru 5ish there was lots of tar melt, would have been bad earlier

if its dangerous to bikers report it. This is the bit i came a cropper on resulting in writing off my bike and putting me in a coma. If you see anything like this which you consider dangerous report it. If the council are there or no reply contact your local station we dont mind coming out to them if it saves someone from having an accident. It really should be sign posted and speed limit reduced, will let the boys know tomorrow to check it. The roads are terrible out this way and we need to report these until they start making better roads. We have meetings every month with LTSA, Council etc and talk of problems just let the station know what the problem is and where and we will try to sort it.
