Yes, I've done it. I'm now a motorcyclist once again.

After minor surgery yesterday to give me movement in my shoulder I figured that I could now reach my left handlebar. So tonigh, for the first time in 4 months, I was reunited with my VStrom for the short trip to Chatto Creek and home. Wow, that was just great.

And my surgeon reckoned I'd be riding again in June or July. :eek5:

That's fantastic!

I'm up for a bit of knee surgery at the end of the month. Have sold my bike just in case.

Will get getting a new bike asap.

Good luck to you.

Take it easy.

Awesome!:niceone:Just take it easy and give your shoulder a chance to heal properly otherwise it will take even longer to fully recover.

March Hare??????????

Thanks for all the good wishes everyone, I won't be pushing it all. It will just be short rides to begin with, nothing over 2 hours or 200 km at a stretch, and no adventure riding till I'm right.

I won't be at the March Hare though, working that weekend.

Good to hear that you are really keeping to short rides.

Gotta be really careful as shoulder surgery is usually a oncer and if it happens again then you're "car ridden"

Only 100 kms today, around the block then up to Cromwell and back.

I haven't had the reconstruction surgery yet, only a minor procedure to give me some movement. I know once I get the full job in March I'll be off the bike again for some time, So I'll just enjoy it while I can. :soon:
