i'm keen to know nicknames for bikes both current and older models....
Kawasaki two strokes in the late 60s were known as Widowmakers and before that we had the Norton Dominator often called the Detonator and the list goes on.
Cut down bikes were Bobbers, after the haircut name of the time and bikes with raked out forks became choppers too.

what else can we come up with??

Lead Wings? Hardly Ablesons? Before Dave Lobster drops by, I can tell you that Vespa PX's are "coops" because they're for chickens..

Hondas were always known as boring, cos they did everything so well. Until they came along with the 'hand grenade'...twin-carbed singles.

Water Bus /Bottles/ Buckets, and on same theme the Teapot.

I used to call some old bikes Honey Drippers. (they leaked so much oil it was clean like liquid honey)

GS350 Goose
Laverda Jota seemed to picked an 'L' to those that ride it well - i.e. "He Jolted off on that Jolta"
The imfamous Goldwing, lost its shine and became "Leadwing" or even "Boat Anchor"
Mates TL1000 was the LFC - "Low Flying Chopper" due to the lack of noise restrictions.
And of course one of my favorite nicknames....
"The Bus" - if you dont know that one you need to go to school. SH1 is a good place to get schooled.

You're forgiven. Referred to in UnZud as the Waterbus. But I see here that varied overseas...
Suzuki's 750cc water-cooled triple was launched in 1971 as their answer to the super bikes of the day, bikes like Honda CB750 and Triumph Bonneville. The GT750 was more a sports tourer (the GT standing for Grand Tourismo) and was, basically, a T500 with an extra cylinder and liquid cooling crafted on.

The GT750 was the first Japanese serial manufactured motorcycle with a liquid-cooled engine. It was a unique engine construction in its day and today considered one of the classic Suzukis, loved by its owners. Known as the Le Mans in America, it received soon a nickname ”Water Buffalo”, and other nicknames in other countries. It was generally known as ”Kettle” in Britain and ”Waterbottle” in Australia.

AJS = Automatic Jumping Shithouse. My dad told me that when I was about 15 and it was the first time I'd ever heard him use a swear-word. I'd just got hold of a Matchless G9 (500 twin) and we were discussing the similarities of AJS and Matchless.
