i remember in my teens when a 4-6metre swell hit the mount, the blowhole was closing out so at low tide we headed around the harbour entrance,
wasent the greatest of waves but it was awesome to do it.

We have had good swell most of January and early Feb up at Waikawau on the East Coast of the Northern Coromandel. Most consistent swell I have seen. Good offshore winds as well so fun on a 9m board. Banks Don't hold anything over a 1.5m swell so bigger is not better here.

Anyone know how the reef at the Mount is going?
