Hey,
long time reader, 1st time 'Thread-er'... :Punk:

I have an old c50 motor that i acquired a year or so ago, and i am in the planning stages of rebuilding it from the ground up...
I'm just wondering if there are any tricks to this process, and any seals and parts i should defiantly replace.
The motor itself will be eventually turboed and dropped into my mini-chopper... (or so is my plan...) so i will be in need of a hardened/forged piston/rings if they are possible to acquire.

ANY help and or advice on the subject would be much appreciated, especially suppliers of the parts required.

Step 1: get a workshop manual and a parts book

I doubt you will believe how much this will cost you $$ wise and I'd be amazed if you can find a turbo small enough - arguably a waste of time turboing a single anyway - get a bigger engine

Yes this may be true on the turbo side of things, but i have seen it done overseas, with very little modification to a Dihatsu Charade Diesel turbo.
On the manual side of things, some one some where must have put it into a archive style text on a computer by now...:innocent:

They are a fairly basic motor, for an OHC anyway. With an impact driver,a hammer and a few hand tools you could pull one down and put it together.Try to find a SS50,they had bigger valves and ports, and a hotter cam too....plus a 4 speed box.Otherwise,go for a clone....

what make are the SS50's? and i have a fairly limited budget so hence why i'm going to try work with what i have 1st of all.
