I've searched but can't find a link here to a manual. Anybody know please?

As far as the engine is concerned a 916 manual should do.

Cool. I'd also like a book whatever on the ST4 although I haven't looked under the seat yet (shame!!) might be one there.

Send a PM to Mr Sensible or Far Queue. If they can't get a book perhaps they'd be kind enough to dismantle their bikes and take photos while they do it :rofl:

There's nothing free around if its a workshop manual you're after. The Ducati website has the owners manual as already noted.
As far as the engine is concerned a 916 manual should do.
Mostly correct, the ST4 916 engine is 916 bottom end and block but does not have the 916 head (it's not as high). I have read that the ST4 has the 748 head though the Wikipedia page for the 748 says its identical to the 916 (except in bore and stroke) so who knows.
