Have decided that 250cc is not for me for various reasons so I have decided I will drive a car instead until the time comes for me to take my class 6 full license test.

To my way of thinking, the GPX was far too small for me, ZXR is a good fit but is also 20 years old and crashed just as many times, parts are becoming scarce, the price is fucking ridiculous and principally I don't believe in buying less bike for more money when compared to a similar aged 600cc which hasn't been raped and crashed anywhere near as much as the 250s.

So I guess if I'm going to be stuck with a slow uncomfortable piece of shit ride anyways it might aswell offer me protection, music and a place to put my beers.

This in no way means quitting KB at all and I know there are a handful suitable bikes around which I know people are going to try and suggest, But for a start I only ride Kwakas!!!!! :D Go team green!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'd like to thank all the friendly people I've met and ridden with, I really enjoyed the rides and the company and this has been a very hard decision for me to go bikeless for a year, I'm still gutted that theres nothing out there for me at the moment.

I will be joining you guys once again in the future when I return with a real man's Ninja!

Get an exemption.

I'm 6'4" and still manage on a 250.

so when you get the super mean fast kawaka in 1 years time your skills will be just where they are now and maybe even less, hence you are more likely to drop or crash. Thats sad.

Just doing the math my friend.

I wish you would reconsider but if its your final word then so be it. hope to see you on a ride sometime when I het my mean green kawaka in a years time.

Wach out for bikes.

Hey dude,

I don't know you very well but i have ridden with you a few times and you seem to be doing very well on your GPX it's a shame that you feel you need to give up biking for a year due to the reasons given,

i hope you will reconsider,

best of luck though

Every learner does their time on a shit little bike mate before joining the big boys! Stick with it, the gpx is a great bike! If your fully deadset on it then yeah get a bucket to at least practice on the track with. The gpx is a great laerner bike and it is in no way the bikes fault mate, not to be harsh. Try for an exemption or get a different 250. Plenty of taller riders manage. The gpx isn't that slow, stable as a rock and is reliable!

I feel your pain (sort of). At 175cm the GPX is actually pretty good. Any taller and I can only guess its not so flash.

Enjoy that car.

you can afford to commute in a car, but can't afford to invest in a 250 ninja that won't depreciate? better off with the cbr mc22 anyway from what i hear:bleh:

just buy a vfr400 nc30, go to a signwriter and make it into a vfr250:laugh:

I had a GPX for over a year and I was 6'2 and 90kg

Always hit my limits before I hit the bikes in corners, straight road warriors are boring. The GPX was fine imo. If you're looking for a thrill then perhaps you should keep your car and buy a track bike.
