View Full Version : Nice compliment

Im used to nice compliments on my bike. People often come up and ask what it is etc or "what a nice day for a ride", then start pouring over the bike and chatting about how they used to ride, or want to ride etc. (btw its a Suzuki M50, but with all the badges taken off (I hate the plastic tank badging).

Anyway - On Friday I was at the lights and a guy pulled up in a car next to me - he literally had half his body out the window looking over the bike and yells to me - "That's a cool bike - I love it!".

Its always nice when someone likes the bike - but it really makes you smile when the guy is hanging out the window of a brand new Maserati :shit:

He really wanted you to notice his Maserati, (lol) best way is complimenting your ride!

Hey where are the pics of your bike? Nothing on your profile! :spanking: Cheers John.

Kinda puts things into perspective then doesn't it?

Not quite sure what your saying...... but unsurprising that someone can like a bike, but not enough to swap for something worth 140k more than it.

I'm not sure either LOL. I can't understand why someone would spend that much on a car, unless you wanted to take your mates somewhere fast with you?

I used to LOVE cars, now the only enjoyment I get is chucking my $500 Charade into a corner fast as I like (within reason) and not worrying so much about low-siding.

Isn't that kinda like saying why would you want to spend a truckload of money romancing Katherine Heigl and winning her heart (and other parts of her anatomy) .... 85247
when you could spend $15 on a bottle of Mississipi Moonshine and win the chick from the trailerpark ...... 85248

Chucking a $500 Charade around doesn't really cut it mate. When a group of us were having a coffee at the bottom of the Susten Pass (Swiss) we heard this roar comin down the mountain.....into town howls a Bugatti followed by a Ferrari followed by an Aston Martin, those boys knew how to have FUN. One of the boys said "I wonder what the poor are doin?":nono::whocares:ps nice bike by the way

I pointed at some dude with a V8 in a small mazda chassis and gave him the thumbs up, only to have him do the same to my bike in return.

That sort of shit really makes my day.

Thats all very well if you have the Susten Pass near by, but when was the last time anyone was passed by cars like that on say: the Coro Loop, or Crown Range, or Buller Gorge.

Agreed, the $500 Charade doesn't 'cut it' as a toy, but the 8 year old RSV does big time. Meh, I'm just glad I found a way of having this much fun for fuck all money.

yeah, aint it grand !!

You're a big black dood on a big black badass bike, and I'm a skinny white boy on a hot red sportbike. Mine, not what you might enjoy, and yours, not what I might enjoy - worlds apart and yet our story is the same.. :niceone:

 Love it - ain't it great! Some years ago I was in a mate's Mk 4 Ford Zephyr at the lights. A biker trawled up and sat revving his throttle alongside. The lights went green, the bike roared off, then ran out of gas in the intersection. THAT was really funny.
