Give Sue a call the best leather worker in New Zealand imo. Also rides a Hinckley Bonneville. Her gear is just tops. She Uses the best leather money can buy and her charge out is very reasonable. Also she likes to measure you up. She repairs race leathers to!! I had a patch over my favorite Jeans 5 years ago. I haven't been down wearing them (fingers crossed) but they have had plenty of wear and not one stitch has come loose. From memory I think they cost me $250. Maybe cost a little more now. She lives and works out of Waverley, South Taranaki. So here's her Number

Would highly recommend doing this!
I have an old pair of draggin jeans that I patched with an old thick leather jacket. Complete with internal pockets for knee armor.
You have to use a pair of jeans that is a couple of sizes too big, then split the seams on both sides of each leg. Sew the patches on then make new seams before turning them back the right way.
...dont forget to leave access to pockets.
Pain in the arse to clean... but if you do the arse right you end up with a really 'tight' looking leather clad arse while your riding ;)
