what so you can add one in vivid???No, I intend to get it sorted properly. I'm curious as to what standard they are using. Whether it's international, Aust or just a local bit of stupid legislation. The Cb had it's lines made up professionally over 10 years ago.

just a local bit of stupid legislation.
i am leaning towards this being the case,
ok found it here http://www.ltsa.govt.nz/publications/vir-manual/motorcycles/2-1a-mc-brakes.pdf
Requirements for rejection
d) is twisted, stretched, chafed or
e) external sheathing is cracked to the extent that
the reinforcing cords are exposed, or
f) has metal connections that are excessively
corroded, or
g) is a non-OE stainless-steel braided hydraulic
brake hose that is not:
i. used to substitute OE hoses only, and
ii. designed specifically for highway use, and
iii. can be identified as complying with a
recognised approved automotive standard
(such as FMVSS-106).

Thanks for that. Interesting that only one standard is mentioned. Not well thought out at all. Here's a list of NZ dealerships- http://www.h-e-l.co.uk/HEL_Performance_International.htm#3

Yeah,it's a great help alright, there are a bunch of standards and we are only told one.But so long as there is some official looking marking stamped on the unions it should be OK,it doesn't matter if they were made last week, they need to have that mark.
