Yes indeedie, looking forward to it.
Interesting choice for director, JJ Abrams, hopefully he will rescue the franchise, it has been on the slide.
NEMESIS! That one made me want to never see another Star Trek film ever again. CLONE?? HE DOESN'T EVEN FUCKING LOOK LIKE YOU PICARD! Dumb dumb dumb.

It'll be another massive fuck up.
It's pretty hard to outdo Wrath of Khan (Khaaaaaaaan) or First Contact, and the basic premise is weak and finite in scope.
I feel like starting a "Fuck Rick Berman and the Tribble he rode in on" web site.
JJ Abrams. Pah. Man couldn't direct an episode of The Go Show.

True, too true. He strangled it, choked the life out of it.
But Berman is gone, the slate is clean, he is not involved in XI at all, thank the gods of Kobol. It could be something very different this time.
Rumour has it he and Abrams didn't see eye to eye, and Berman left, his script chucked in the bin.
The studios knew what Berman could produce, weren't interested in another run-of-the-mill film, and so contracted Abrams.

Ugh. FFS, why don't they just let it go. Star Trek had it's time and was brilliant. But move on people.

I'll go watch it for sure, but I wouldn't say I'm looking forward to it. After Nemesis and Enterprise (the series) I don't expect them to do a good job with this one.

Hopefully if he did, some previously alluded to off-screen monster would show up and f**K up the no talent presenters if they hit a bum note in one of their PC "sharing and caring" songs, i.e. (every flippin one).
Whatever happened to good old fashioned kids TV where they had a whole lot of racial stereotypical toys and/or presenters to poke fun at. You see that the DVDs of Sesame St have been rated M in th States because Oscar has been deemed as a bad influence and the veiled drug references. F**k me, if I saw a huge yellow bird talking to an invisible mammoth, he'd be on he dining table that night.
And don't even get me started on what the f**kers did to Noddy!!
