Hi I am wanting to sit my BHS and get some training. But the riding schools are far away from where I live ( Riderskills). Does anyone know anywhere I can get some training and do the BHS around or close to Howick/ Pakuranga, Auckland.
Thanks

Get a mentor. I got a mentor, he came around and worked with me for a day, wrote down some things I should practice, and I did, and then went to Riderskills, did the BHS test only, and passed with flying colors.

How much does that cost?
How would they train you? in a park or carpark something like that?
Also I dont have my own bike.

A mentor is usually a kind KB soul who will help you out free of charge. You should really give them a box of beer or something thouhg :first:
And yes, I did learn in a carpark. But the fact that you don't own a bike could be a problem. Perhaps look into hiring one out or ask really nicely in the 250 section, someone might lend you one.

Seriously just do what he says and ask around :) I'm sure someone will be willing to help you. Ask around to see if there's an experienced rider out your way that has a 250 lying around or that they're working on... I'm sure you'll find somebody :)
Otherwise, you might as well buy your own bike, because if you don't have someone else's to practice on and ride once you've got your licence, what's the point in getting it?? :) Don't worry, I'm sure it'll work itself out!
Good luck:woohoo:

Just buy your bike. You should've done this if you were serious about it anyway. Thats how I did it.
Monday - Decide I want to ride
Friday - Bike in garage
Next week - Licence'd
^ That's me
