Here I am generating valuable overseas revenue for the country in the UK, best summer in 10 Fuking years in NZ... and when I would like to know what is happening I cant even get TVNZ on demand.

Restricted to New Zealand web surfers only grrrrrrrrrr

Grumpy and missing the bike.

Man you should have seen the news the other night.

15 minutes about how sunny it's been.
Then a 5 minute live shot to a reporter in the Waikato with breaking news that it's drizzling.
Then some updates on current temperatures around the country.
Then five minutes of "real" (ie. depressing) news about crime.
Sport
15 minutes of weather.
News is over, phew. Ohhhh no it's not, heres a 15 minute segment on Close Up "Current Affairs" about.......how dry it is!

We have a serious weather fetish in this backwater! FFS we know it's been nice weather. We know it's dry. And who FFFFFFing cares what temperature it is in Cromwell right now???????

Count your blessings, watch the BBC and Channel 4.

TVNZ on demand being NZ only will be due to the very heavy licensing restrictions that are put in place by distributers to make sure that they sell content in each region.

Count your blessings, watch the BBC and Channel 4.

I reeeeaaaaally miss BBC2! Documentaries, nature progs and other downright solid brain-food tv instead of all this american cr@p...and what's with the number of advertorials???

You could always post your request and some nice person might download it for you then share it as a torrent.

Or you could try and find a nz proxy site, not sure if they exist or would work but it might make it look like you're accessing TVOD from NZ.

Google "Free Proxy Server"

Sort by country, find, and set up a New Zealand Proxy in your web browser, an presto, as far as the internet is concerned you are a New Zealander.

How's the 'Magic Roundabout'! What a fricken disaster!

The best part is that the whole damn thing is no more than 100m across... Have driven through it four times now. The locals see my closed eyes and clenched fists on the steering wheel and avoid me ha.
