early starts suck, but hey, it's all for a good cause right and, we may break the 2500 mark this year ... hmmmmm sweet.

So, for all you westies out there here's my plan.

I will be leaving from the normal gas station at 7am (caltex/shell, i can never remember, where we all meet for ride starts, you know the place).

If you want to show up and tag along, great.

I have also arranged with a mate to do the same thing from the Te Atatu peninsula Shell, they will be leaving at approx 7:10, all going well we should meet on the motorway.this is of course for the benefit of any westies who don't live quite so far west.

Lets get out there people!!

If you're going to Te Atatu you mat aswell go on to West Gate, it's like a wee bit over 5 minutes up the motorway.

And it should be empty at that time in the morning :shifty: :innocent:

Not if you live in Te Atatu South, Te Atatu Peninsula, Glendene, Henderson... etc

Then the Shell at Te Atatu Peninsula is better..... otherwise you are backtracking an extra possible 20 kms on the clock.
Just as easy to pop onto the motorway and let the Westgate bunch catch up...

And thats why we have done it this way, good on ya for saying so, can i assume that you will be showng up ??

Yep, thats if my alarm goes off and I blardy hear it.....
If I miss the alarm......... I will somehow make it....... to the main meet up point out south.

Not quite good enough really is it ... LOL .... i'm sure you can find someone to call and wake you up ... hmmmmm

Of course you can, we all can and we should.

Just to be clear people, this will be a controlled group, with TEC to be chosen on the day.

In that light, it would be nice if a couple of experienced riders out this way joined the ride.

If you want to come along, be you newbie or whatever, this is the group for you : )

As i'm not aware of a rain date for this event, the wespac for westies ride will be going ahead, regardless of the weather : )

I'll be the extremely grumpy one, who has to get out of bed soooo blardy early!
Won't be at Westgate though.

I'll be at Westgate, not keen for the early start time combined with the weather mind you but i'll tkae it in my stride.. or ride.

Haha, oh yeah :chase:

But crunching the numbers.. Te Atatu station is a hell of alot closer.. But I like highways so I'll do the extra miles for kicks.

Ergh.. It's 6am. I'm dropping to down as much coffee as I can find. Sitting on the PC in my full leathers being attacked by my hyper active cat.

I'll be departing soon, too lazy to check what the weather's like but i'm sure i'll soon find out.
